There has been a thread on this bike already but as I had a chance to talk with Gas Gas about it at the Cycle World magazine cycle show, I wanted to get some more information out there.

* 294.7cc single cylinder two stroke engine
* water cooled
* 72 x 72mm bore and stroke
* Keihin PWK 38mm carb
* digital CDI multispark ignition
* Hydraulic multidisc clutch
* 6 speed trans
* 50.6 HP @ 7,340 RPM
* Boyeson RadValve reed induction
* Ohlins suspension front and rear
* Brembo brakes, two discs up front and one on the rear
* 380 pounds roughly (This is from memory)
* 5.46 gallon fuel tank

The motor is out of the GasGas EC/DE series enduro bikes so it's proven durable. Talking with the company rep, the powerband is flat all the way to the top with plenty of porting and head room to make it hit if you want to. The pipes are soon to be made by FMF and the wheel bolt pattern is the same as a Honda 250R. GasGas took a 250R frame and sent it to their frame shop to be dissected and studied. The Wild HP frame is patterned after the Honda 250R much like the 400EX and the Suzuki/Kawasaki 400 quad frame was. GasGas has worked with the AMA in order to sell the quad in the states with our stringent EPA policies though they wouldn't elaborate on how they did it.

Folks, there is a new two-stroke sport quad out there and for $7,695, you too can have one. There have been seven delivered to the Arizona area that I'm old make regular trips to Glamis so keep an eye out for em. I wanna know how they stack up to what's out there.

The Wild HP is offered in 400/450cc four-stroke versions also. Their website is currently under construction but when it's up, it will be found at gas-gas.net

It sounds real nice but if that is it, that sure is one ugly bike. [Eek!]

If they used the 250r frame I wonder if they used the 250r plastic mounting points. If so just do a swap.
