Full Version: My Kid Got Picked To Join Foreigner On Stage
Last night the kiddo, Megan" comes home from work and says "Oh yeah Dad, I'm gonna need your permission to sing with Foreigner"
me- "rightttt"
her-"really, I know their old like you, but it's still cool"
me- "applejack, honest injun chuck, chuck" tapping the peace sign over my heart twice (it a no bullshit thing we do)
her- "applejack
well she goes on to explain that she along with 19 other Okie kids have been selected to get up on stage and sing along with them.....onw song...... "I want to know what love is"
Kristy, who really liked / likes Foreigner, told me that were going, get the tickets, and you better believe, I'm gonna take lots of pics.

I think it had to do more with her love of 70s and 80s music more than talent, haha, but she seems too be in the right spot at the right time alot more than I ever have been.

Heck it might just run in the family, Mom was up on stage with Elvis in 1976, but I don't think she was invited up...she was and still is the wild one. 72 years old and has her own ultra classic, by the way she lives up in Miwuk Village, by Twain Harte, gots a real estate office and a bunch of rental property, stop in and see her if you guys ever go up. Well now, 4 1/2 hours later and, don't get me wrong, but dang " I want to know what love is" at least 15 times...getting old and at the same time my three little running around balancing everything in sight, while watching minute to win it, have I mentioned it's 90 mph at my house all the time. Tim

Don't it now, triggers the memory...carefree days.
Man I'm excited, tomorrow night's the big night, Megan's only a little nervous, sold out crowd, got our tickets today...... Kind of wierd, but my kid and several of her friends are really into the music that we liked (and still do) when we were teenagers and into our mid 20s.....good music is like Karma, just keeps coming back around.
