there should be its own wire running from the e-brake lever, well i know mine does, and i think ya have to buy a special billet e-brake cover, well i do for mine i think its the same or pretty close

I have an '03 raptor, I put on a +4 swingarm on mine and it made the cables to the parking brake too short, so I bought a new lever, took off the cables, and there is a block off plate that you must buy to take the place of the parking brake, I know Alba sells them on line, if you look closely at the pic you can see a billet flame plate on the inside part of the brake caliper, that is the plate you need, its a simple thing to do, but you gotta have the parts to do it.

I have had very few people notice those, but the ones that do think it is way cool, they dont sell them for quads, I adapted it from another type of bike, anywho I dont want to hijack manuels thread too much, but thanks for the compliment

I put the block off plate, and the new lever on I just don't know what to do with the lines for the e brake, I tucked them in for now but I don't know if I should unplug them or what.
SHOCKER
Jun 23 2004, 08:27 PM
Yeah un plug them, there should be one for the the e-brake and then another one coming from the foot brake
O by the way long time no see, havent seen ya on the site in a while

there should be one cable that runs from the bars to the caliper, just pull that off the bike completely, you shouldnt have to mess with the lines from the foot brake
SHOCKER
Jun 23 2004, 08:36 PM
I know im just telling him that theres 2 lines running to the e-brake one form the bars and one from the foot brake

OK. If you have the block off plate installed, you're already ahead of the game. You can remove the whole Ebrake cable assembly from your bike...if you don't, it's just some loose parts looking for something to bind in.
After you do that, you can disconnect the parking brake rev limiter switch on your clutch perch if you'd like (there are 2 push button switches on the right side of your clutch perch. 1 is for the parking brake (top switch if I remember right) and the other is for reverse rev limiter.) Just pop the switch out of the perch with a flat screwdriver, and trace the wires down by the radiator. If they are bullet connectors, connect the 2 that are coming UP from the wire harness and toss the switch and connected wires. If they are not bullet connectors, tape them off (silicone if you'd like) and let em hang.
If you have any more questions, go to the atvconnection.com forums in the Yami section and do a search...there are steps with pics. Good Luck. Haz

Nice F-ing bike Ian!
I took the brake off my Banshee and my roomate did on his Raptor. No need for the block off. Just for looks.
If the wires at the handle are still touching, the bike will not run. You have to separate them with tape.
If I repeated anyhting someone said, it's because I didn't read all the posts.
