I bought a White Brothers E Series Silencer and a new K&N air filter with the outerwear. Do I need to increase my main jet up 1? Or will this mess up other settings on the bike?

Thank you!

I eventually want to go to a full pipe. Which is highly recommended over the other, White Brothers, FMF, or Big Guns? What would you put on your 400EX? If you put on a pipe, would you change anything else?
Kevin
youll probly have to go up two sizes if not more, maybe even raise the needle. i have the full big gun on mine, if i were to do it again id go with either a curtis sparks or an lrd pipe(more power).

WELL- EVERYONE WILL SAY YOU NEED TO BUT YOU REALLY DONT HAVE TO. A BUDDY OF MINE WAS TOLD HIS JETS WERE CHANGED OUT WHEN HE HAD HE E SERIES PUT ON, HE LATER FOUND OUT IT WAS LEFT STOCK. SOOOOOOOOO IF YOU WANT THE OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE YES, CHANGE THEM. IF YOU DONT CARE, THEN DONT SWEAT IT.

If you change the filter, you MUST rejet it.
Just adding a pipe is not big deal, but that K&N will increase the volume of air going in and that requires jetting. Bik will run like crap if you dont.

my 400ex was lean at glamis when it was stock, i had to jet it up 2 sizes just for glamis. now with full pipe and filter and no airbox lid, i had to change the pilot jet, main and reaise the clip.
