Holy cow! What a week!
Ok, it's obvious that there are some serious personal issues that have come out in some threads here in the past week or so. I would like to clear a few things up...

First of all... It was ME who closed the topics. My choice, my decision. They can be re-opened if need be, they are still there to be read. No one was "shut down", and no one's opinion was "quashed".
To try to make the point that we at Glamisdunes.com have started "Censoring" and "Editing" ... "Like the ASA board"... is completely out of line. That arguement went on MUCH further then it EVER should have been allowed. EVERYONE was given AMPLE time to voice their opinion. It was only when the argument was taken to Slappy and I in PM's that it was dealt with.
To all of you who sent PM's... For each PM that said, in effect... "I am right and they are wrong, you should delete/ban/censor them" Understand that there were an equal number of PM's sent with this same message, but with YOUR name as the subject!
In otherwords, everyone was right, no one was wrong, delete the other guy... yadda yadda yadda...
Come on folks.
We at Glamisdunes.com offer you a place to voice your opinions and to disseminate information. It is not the ROOM'S fault that things got out of hand. It was not OUR fault that you cannot debate peacefully. It is not our job to monitor all arguments and determine who is right and wrong.
We, at GlamisDunes.com have not and will not take sides!
Blaming US for this mess??? Give me a break!

The intention for closing the threads was simple... One, it was the weekend and moderation was in short supply. I would be unable to monitor the threads so I closed them. Two, It was time for a breather. I tried to suggest that it was time to step back and take a break, but everyone just had to have the last word, So, I had the last word.
Don't like my moderating tactics? Too bad!

Our forum moderator: She has/is doing a perfectly fine job. You know she is the moderator here, it is not a secret. If you just simply cannot bring yourself to talk to her then don't. There are any number of other forums available for you. A call for her dissmissal or a vote for her replacement is considered a personal attack. Critisise, yes... insult or demand replacement... no.

People comming in as outsiders and stirring up the pot: Hey, they have just as much right to voice their opinions as you do. If your opinions cannot stand up to the heat then maybe you should rethink your opinions.

Ok, I'm sure there are gonna be those who are going to say that this type of forum is bad for us, bad for our cause, bad for this, bad for that... Too bad. It's here. This forum and this board exists and we're not going anywhere. We offer a place, free from censorship of opinion where any person can voice their thoughts and attempt to ascertain what the opinions of other duners are. We are the number one most popular Glamis Website with the broadest membership. On top of that we have countless people who are not members who come here to see what people are thinking. In short, we believe that We come closest to the actual opinion of the majority of duners then any other website by far! If you wish to get your message out there to the most duners, to the most diverse group of duners, then you've come to the right place. But, if you wish to ignore the vast numbers of duners who do not think like you, who have different opinions then you, who DUNE differently then you. If you just want to preach to the choir then find another place to voice your message. Glamisdunes.com will always be the voice of the DUNER, no matter that voice. I hope you stick around. I'm sure some of you will not, and that is a sad thing.

Finally, as a response to all PM's... Your opinion is duly noted, your critisism's are registered and acknowledged... but no one is going to be banned, censored, or otherwise chastised for their opinions.
And blaming this on US will get you nothing.
