Putting together Momma bike and was wondering if anyone had input on tire choices We are running standard sized rims since we camp alot of desert as well as sand and wanted the extra cushion since I am not one of those super ballers with the suspension frame. Was looking on Dr. Atv and he has the OEM which i know do pretty well in sand and dirt, but never seen anyone running the AMS Swamp Fox or the Kenda Pathfinders any input on these???

I didn't look it up but does Kenda & AMS make those small enough to fit your stock trims? If they do, I would think they would be quite heavy and not give you the extra cushion you're looking for.

I have read that even those running Douglas rims and MX tires say the ride stiffer then the good old stock tires.

for a better ride stay with the 7" wheels, I have two stock 70's one with the stock 7" and the other with 8" douglas w/ holeshots, and the cheap cheng shin on 7" ride the best. I don't know about the swamp fox but check the ply rating the more ply's, the tire will be heavier and the ride will get stifffer!

They both say 2 ply and ya there 16x8x7 stock size

The cheng shins are the best (IMHO) they maintain their size unlike the Oshtasu OEM tires. I switched all my bikes to them.

The Ohtsus do grow/stretch if overinflated too much, but nothing compares to their ride quality. I think the main thing that affects the ride besides ply rating is the profile. Find one with a nice rounded profile and it will ride much better than one with a flat profile. Wow, tires are kinda like women.
