hey, a buddy of mine just got his 88 250r outa storage last month. its been sitting for 3 years since it last ran, bike is completely stock, and and looks new. problem is it has no spark, it ran great last time it was at glamis 3 years ago, put it in storage and now no spark. what do ya think could be casuin the problem?

The moisture of being in storage has probable corroded some of the connector between the stator and the CDI. Tell him to pull them apart and clean them. It should run then... [Burnout]

Yeah, that or some of the tiny ass wires are corroded through. Check for resistance through the stator. I think it's between the red and black wire and ground. You should have like 250ohms (not 100% about that). If you have an open, the stator is shot.

yeah thats what i was thinkin, gonna help him out with it this weekend. the bike is clean as hell, no scrathes, hardly looks riden, i tried to buy it from him about 8 years ago, offered 4k wouldnt take it, then i found out he only paid 2800 for it brand new in 88. still has the original tires on it.
