I just bout a tatum last years with an LS7 and i was ganna change the oild and i wanted to know exactly what to do and where to drain from step by step so i do the right job and dont leave old oil in it if anyone can help that would be great thanks

The drain plug should be next to the oil filter. Just drain it and un screw oil filter, add new filter and oil..

Dry sump.......

There are 2 plugs in the pan remove both. If u have dry sump u will need to drain the tank as well. You can also drain any oil coolers and lines depending how far u want to go.

ahh ya ls7 have the dry sump...

yes it is a dry sump and it has a container

and when i poor oil back into it do i poor it in through the container?

If its a stock GM dry sump tank, you'll put the new oil in it. I'm not sure if the aftermarket tanks are treated differently or not.

Thanks alote Doc Savage for the info and hopefully my cars completly done by oct for the new season and ill give those guys down at tatum a call i usally always deal with lil rich when i call or go down there so ill give them a call sum time this week just to make sure i do it correct
