When you have two honda riders and a stripped drain plug? A typical day for the typical Honda rider of course. Now I wouldn't have the slightest clue what to do in a situation like this as I never run into these problems owning Yamahas. Since Kevin and Tom (Kevin400EX and Mr. Dune) are dedicated Honda owners though, they are quite well versed in the occasional vehicle malfunction and were able to procure a new drain bolt and a suitably sized tap. Kudos to you guys for saving the day. If you hadn't, Toms 250R might have had to sit on the trailer all day with a stripped drain plug instead of sitting on the trailer in good working order while Tom drove "Tinas" buggy.

Tom: Love ya man. It's been awhile since I've given you a good razzin. I don't want you to feel forgotten. [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Wink]

hahaha, good one ben.. and thanks again for the help with the trailer..
DUNE
Thanks Ben for the warm fuzzy filling. It's nice to see I've not been forgotten,LOL.

But yes after 17 yrs of changing oil after every other ride I wore out the threads on my drain plug. So with a little help from a good friend I drilled and tapped out the hole for a new drain plug. If that's the worst my Honda does to me then I sure am blest with a great quad.

Funny how word gets around. [Spin]

Oh and Ben the reason you don't have a problem with anything wearing out on a Yamaha is because they don't last long enough to wear out. [Big Grin]
Mister Ed
Keep your chin up Tomsker. Did this happen at home or at G?
DUNE
Hi there Eddy, it happen out there when I was trying to change my oil. I drained the oil and when I tried to get the plug back in it just kept turning. The bike was half a trailer queen for 3 days. The reason I say half a trailer queen is because only the front tires were on the trailer and the rest was in the sand.

When you making it back out again?
DUNE
You got that right girl. Buy the way it was great to camping with ya, will have to do it again. [Big Grin]
Kevin
actually ben it took me about an hour to locate the correct size tap for the new drain plug, apparently alot of places dont have a use for a 14mm tap.
