What are the additions to the bottom of the skid plate?
What tranny are you running?

You mean the box? That's to clear the trans. I'm running a Fortin 5 speed. The original skid had a box but it was completely square, we decided to angle the front of the box for some more strength in that area.
The other little addition on the skid is an oil drain, instead of drilling a big hole, we cut it out and welded anothe plate over the cutout. Something different then the typical hole.

Such a great looking car. I have always liked the predators. It's a shame the brains behind those cars couldn't keep it together.

New Bypasses

Steering

Also Tony, more BIG changes, 32gallon fuel tank w/sending unit and gage! Real happy bout that!

Why did you have to add that for the trans? As far as I knew, all Predators were built to accept multiple types of trannys.
TurtleRacing
Apr 8 2011, 01:21 PM
The trans protrudes just below the frame rails, so instead of having the skid plate sit right against the trans, we put the box there for clearance and protection.

Very nice, Turtle! I rode in my buddy Steve's Revenge car and it was a Cadillac! I notice you have the sway bars too...
His buggy handled flat and was VERY nimble. I couldn't believe how he could throw that big azz car around.

Nice Fadal's too.....

Hey Turtle, I see you are from Michigan so you must take the buggy to Silver Lake Sand Dunes, right? But my bigger question is, are there other off-road areas near you that you go to? I've been to Silver Lake and I've been to Lansing, but I haven't seen much else in Michigan.

I'm hoping with the new Bypasses I might be able to ditch the sway bar, we'll see. I had a ton of body roll before.

There are but I haven't had the chance yet. I need to buy all tires and rims for the front, which I will be doing soon. I have rear MT Baja Claws, just need to decide what I want for the front and order them.

I would be surprised if you could get away with no sway bar. The sway bar makes a world of difference. You run the same bypass as my buddy did on his Predator and he needed the sway bar.
