Poss problems: sail switch in heater, batteries, wiring, turns out the thermostat was not working very good.
Like I said it worked fine when the genny was on but not off battery power.
I took it to Brawley trailer & supply - they also do repairs. Rene replaced all 4 batteries, it worked 3-4 times then nothing on battery power. Replaced the 4 new batteries with 4 completely new/different ones, same thing.
Switched out the circuit board,,,same
new sail switch,,,same
limiter switch,,,same
direct ground wire from furnace to battery,,,same
no other draw on the batteries,,,,
Rene was great, tried everything he could, kept me informed the whole way, called back when he said he would!
I was talking to Daniel (he and Tammy are buying my TH and I told them I'd get the heater fixed) and was telling him everything Rene had done and I was going to call someone else and was about to go out to Brawley and tow it home and have it looked at here.
Daniel said he remembered working on a MoHo years ago and had a similar problem, it turned out to be the thermostat, so I called Rene and asked if he had one and could try it. He did not hesitate, he did say he had never heard of it being the problem but since he had tried everything else he would give it a shot. No attitude! Didn't think I was telling him how to his job, just great to deal with.
Rene calls me back a little while later and said it's all good!!!
Trailer has 4 new batteries (1 of the ones I was using did have a small leak & I wanted Daniel & Tammy to start off with fresh batt's.) new sail switch and a new thermostat so they should be toasty warn on those cold Glamis nights.
So,,,,BIG props to Brawley Trailer Supply and Rene!!!!!!!
if you experience heater problems don't forget to check the thermostat!
