We close down the stadium and about 2,000 people will come through the doors. All of us Instructors take different areas and teach you first aid and CPR for only $10 and less than a couple hours.

Normally it would be a 8 hour class and cost about $65 so this is a great deal for those of you who need to be certified for employment.

I hope you guys take advantage of this deal and learn a life saving technique. We all know the dangers of offroading and how long it takes for help to arrive so please try to take a few hours out of your schedule to do this.

Thanks, I hate to nag but none of you want to be in my shoes and lose a loved one.

Poor TLL he just can't seem to find a way to get me.

So I found out we are doing Pet CPR tomorrow also, so maybe TLL can be the Dog they practice on.

This is the information they send us Instructors but classes start at 8am and I think the latest you can show up is 12 noon

Dear Instructor,

The American Red Cross would like to invite you to teach at our seventh annual Super CPR Day on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Angel Stadium. With your help, last year we issued over 2,400 certificates in both CPR and First Aid. Can we top that record? Well, we would like to challenge ourselves and see what happens! We have circulated information about the CPR Day to thousands of people in Orange County and are again anticipating a large response.

Regardless, it will be a fun day and we appreciate your support and enthusiasm. Come and join the fun! We will provide a nice continental breakfast and Lee’s sandwiches will be back to sponsor lunch! Of course, there will be plenty of snacks and drinks and hospitality will be provided by our wonderful disaster volunteers.

We ask that you arrive at the stadium between 6:15a.m. and 6:30a.m. Sessions start at 8:00am and start every hour on the hour. The last CPR session starts at 12:00 p.m. and should last a couple of hours. If you feel you are a little “rusty” on your teaching skills…worry not! You will be paired up with another instructor and this is the perfect opportunity to “freshen up” (not to mention it will automatically reauthorize your instructor authorization for the year). Everything you need will be provided!

We know how busy everyone is but we cannot do this day without each and every one of you. You will be teaching people to save lives and you never know when your students may need to use their skills!

Please contact me at (714)481-5346 or mcatanzaro@oc-redcross.org as soon as possible to sign up and volunteer. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or anyone on the Health and Safety staff. We are most happy to help. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you on April 16th.
