Is the Yamaha Wolverine a decent quad for a novice rider who doesn't want to shift?...aka, my wife. I need to just get her out there and comfortable 1st before I go putting her on a quad where she gets fustrated easily. I think she could learn but baby steps first.

Your thoughts??

SHOCKER

I personally wouldn't go with that particular model for a first quad, especially in the sand. I think the heavy front end and lack of suspension might make for an unpleasant first experience. You might try something like a trailblazer which has an auto and is 2wd to start out with.
SUPERFLY
Ya i went out with some friends last season who had bought two wolverines and watched the guy roll it right in front of me. They seem like a very heavy bike. Other than that he didnt really seem to have much trouble getting around in the dunes. If your wife can drive stick in a car I think you might wanna start her on like a blaster and have her get the gears figured out around the small dunes by the washes. A blaster would last her a while before she outgrows it in skill.

WE RIDE PRETTY FAST, AND HE KEEPS UP, SOMETIMES TO WHER EI CANT PASS HIM IN THE SHORT STRAIGHT AWAYS.... LOL HES ALMOST 11 NOW....
