I had a friend buy some stuff from there recently and from what he said it is just Keith and a secretary. She is just answering the phones and he is doing all the machining etc. things are so slow that was his way to keep in business but he dealt with them on some stuff again this week so they are definately still in business as of Monday.

LOL. I hate to say it but I have some of their stuff on my car and need a few questions answered. No return calls and no customer service. Shop around before you buy their stuff. Good luck.

Went out there yesterday had my all my questions answered. Only complant would be the phone calls seemed to be more important than a customer standing in front of them willing to spend cash right now.(was told to wait 4 or 5 times to take phone calls).....but I've run into that before.....

Discount tire is king of answering the phone when I'm standing there. Sometimes I feel like calling the store and telling them to help the guy standing in front of them. I don't know what happens to someone who works at discount tire that doesn't answer the phone but it must be very very bad.

Next time your at the counter you should just call him from your cell so he can't take any other calls.....

They're definately in biz and doing really good biz too.
They just built me a pair of stub axles last month. They screwed up the first set, then were really sorry and were making me a new set next week. That week they got busy and couldn't get it done and said they'd be ready the next week after that. Then the second week they got busy and said they'd be done the week after that.
Three weeks later I got them. They pushed out their own commit date 3 times saying "its just manufacturing".
Some of the worst customer service in the biz when it comes to answering phones and taking care of customers.
I really get the impression from them that they all hate their jobs.

I can see some delay as I was told it is a receptionist and Keith is all that is working right now. Trying to keep their doors open in this economy by cutting back costs so he can keep his costs to the consumers affordable!!!

Haven't been there in a while, but I always had positive service and assistance. We had to go there a few years back and they gave my son a full tour of the shop, it was really cool!

I'm sure they're all really nice peoples. Their actions just scream "I Hate My Job".
Keith is an especially grumpy guy to deal with (at Gear One).
Lance was a much better guy to work with. Just my experience....

Their service sucks. I had to call 8 times over 2 weeks trying to get them to find.and check my broken axle
They finally found it put me on hold for 2 minutes and tested it and.said it passes heat treat .
Oh yeah that will be another $261 for a new one.
No warranty because its a race part
It made it 150 miles in a rhino that's not raced
Talk about a joke I had 2500 on my summers bros when I sold them. Thought I was upgrading....lol
