What area are you in? I like North County Powdercoat and El Cajon Powdercoat (ECP). I'm getting my car done next week at North County.

For San Diego County
RW Little is probably the best in SD County. Best color assortment combined with the knowledge of powder manufactures.
When it comes to a buggy chassis, ECP in east county, and Electro Tech in north county will do a quality job that is just as good as RW Little. My personal favorite is Electro Tech. I have had excellent work out of their shop, great prices, and good turn around time. I have friends who have been very pleased with ECP.
Where RW Little will be better if when a customer chooses a custom color that is different than what is normally used. They have the most experience with different manufactures of the powder, and have the best knowledge of what manufactures will fade or dull more rapidly than others. They also are one of the best if you are going with an epoxy coating instead of powder coating.
If I was going to use a really different color or an epoxy coating, then I would use RW Little. For the colors that 90% of all buggies have, ECP or Electro Tech are excellent choices. Both companies do excellent work. Probably more a decision of location, quoted price and turn around time when choosing between the two.

AFFORDABLE POWDERCOATING in Phoenix, we have had 24 cars done in the last 10 months and all were flawless and of the best quality, the one we had that won the ARIZONA SAND EXPO was done by them as well as the two we have coming out in the next SAND ADDICTION magazine. They are very good and probably the reason they do all of Bourgets motorcycles as well as revenges,dunebuugy.com cars also. Later

ECP gets my vote. Something worth noting: ECP Powder Coating and El Cajon Powder Coating are not the same business! ECP is ECP! It actually stands for El Cajon Plating, even though they don't do plating at this time. The owner and general manager of ECP are also real desert enthusuasts and off-road supporters. If you were at Glamis in the late 90s and early 2000s, then you surely saw the candly blue 4 seater at the drags whippin up on people that was called "More Dollar$ Than $en$e" That car was owned by Don Kerr who runs ECP and also has a killer pre-runner Bronco in Off-Road magazine right now. Scott who owns ECP has one of the nicest looking Chenowth 4 seat pre-runners there is too. These guys know our industry and support it better than anyone else, we should support them too!

That's Easy! RTS Production Powder Coating. Chino Hills, CA.
See the website gallery.
They are a huge production line powder coater and have a large batch oven.
Ask anyone who has had work done there... and it is perfect!!!
They do tend to get busy with large suppliers but if you are able to get it.. get it done.
Pefectionist's!!
The best ever seen.

R.W. Little has more experience then a lot of shops. Sometimes you get what you pay for. If you spend $60k on a buggy, why try and save a couple hundred on the powdercoat. You buy quality parts for your buggy, might as well get a quality powdercoater to do the job.

I would use V&L in apple Valley. He loves mixing new colors and does great work. He will do my new car. I think most of the builders are now using him as well. That should tell you something about his work.

I'm going to have to say, it depends on your location. I've had several things done a RW Little, and they're excellent. But unless you're in the SD area, that's a mute point.

When it comes to powdercoat V&L is my lord and savior.
That clown Larry is O.K. but Shelly is the SHIAT!!
Powdercoating a buggy frame is an inexact science at best.To have as many cars we get be as good as they are is amazing.
And the occasional lunchs aint bad

Affordable has done fantasic jobs for me also the only problem I have is that they are about 250 miles away and with the amount of cars we do I use three powdercoaters but if I lived in Phoenix it would be Affordable but to take every car we do that far to get done would cost a fortune and I would have to raise prices and I won't do that.

Okay.....how do they compare when you want the frame redone after it is already powdercoated?
i.e. Changing things around, deciding to go with a new color??

I can talk about this...
For years I had a blue car. I thnk it was about 5 years old. I decided it was time to change. So I contacted V&L in AppleValley.
Larry was very willing to discuss the new color I wanted. Only problem, nobody had the color I wanted. So Larry spent some tim ein the back mixing colors and I think there was even some voodoo magic stuff he spprinkled on it. The end result was a green that I have yet to see anywhere. I have seen som ethat are close, but not what I had. Along with the Chassis green, he mixed something special for the aluminium work. A kinda clear greeen that showed the ground in flames in the aluminuim.
So to answer your question, Larry is a true pro at changing colors. Other than my belts and roof, you never would have know it was once blue. And the second color looked as if it was brand new again.
No dought, Larry will do my new car when Im ready for color...or at least I will ask him to do it.

I wish I could brag about how well they do...unfortunatly they did not do my last car but, I can certainly say, cathi's car looks great as do all the SU cars. Allthough I have not have first hand experience with them, from what I have seen, they do great work.

So in response to your response.....do they (V&L) actually grind or snadblast the old powdercoat off? Is it better to do it myself?
I know...questions.
I know $eth is gonna kill me for tearing apart the car...but....

In response to your rsponse to my response to your question...
Yes they did...
The first day they had it, they sand or bead blasted it. So when they did the new coat, it was on a fresh clean chassis.
