Really, it HAS to ba a whole supression system... but then... seems pretty cheap for F1

I imagine that the gearbox cost has been raised since the new Titanium /Carbon Fiber 7 speed wan introduced. Ti with interlaced CF throughout the casting . Can't be cheap.

Yeah Carl ... it was BAR/Honda. They let SPEED TV into the garage (highly unusual) and had a video feature at the USGP (just a few weeks ago).

Thats the chromoly oval tubing huh? i bent someof that oval tubing on my old mountain bike, i thaught it was stronger

Its not chromoly. The last ones I looked at were carbon fiber.

Lighter is better? Only if it holds up under the duty cycle.

Last fall, I was at Phoenix for a little driving, (Cup car) and Honda was there to do some testing. (F-1) I did have my camera, but as I walked through the garage area, you would have thought I was a terrorist.. Guards everywhere.
(Or was that gourds?)

Anyway, they ran me off... Doug got a ride that day as I recall.
