Was wondering if anyone here is onto homebrewing? I have just recently been getting into more and have switched to all grain brewing. I am now kegging my beer instead of bottling, and am going to start entering my beers into some competitions. It's great making something myself, and I can make 10 gallons of beer for around $15 that is way better than any of the big 3(coors, miller, bud). Just curious if anyone else here does this. I love giving away beer for people to try. I have a kegerator that holds close to 50 gallons of beer so I would love to fill some growlers for anyone interested in trying some of my beer.

Here is some of my setup.

My all grain brewing station. Soon the coolers will be replaced with stainless Kegs converted to kettles. I just have to have some welding done by my cousin. Everything is ran through a pump and can be recirculated at the push of a button to keep proper sparging temps. Rigged a xmas tree timer inline to the pump so everything is ran off a remote.

The Kegerator. Like I said it will hold about 50 gallons of beer. 3 taps for now. Soon I'll have 5 on there when I finish up some different recipes.

the inside is plumbed with a Co2 system and a divereter so I can easily switch between kegs.

So who's ready to party? Ha ha ha ha

That's a little more complicated than my "Home Brew" in a box I got for Christmas! Looks like fun though beer.gif

I currently have ready to go:

A Honey IPA

A Blonde(simular to a Yellowtail)

Devestator IPA <---- my own recipe. A real hoppy IPA.

Skull Crusher Double IPA <---also my own recipe.

I have made tons of stuff. I even make homemade rootbeer and creme soda with this system.

Yeah, just a little. In those kits you use something called a DME. It's malt, and thats where you get your sugar from. I use raw grains and through a soaking process exctract the natural sugar proteins from the grain. No DME needed. There is a science to it, but it is fun. Seriously, the biggest concern is keeping everything sterile.

Dang, you should look into Stone Brewery. They always have listings for brewers.

I'm very familiar with stone and alpine brewing companies. In the next 6-12 months I will have my own brewery/brew pub. I'm currently looking for commercial space to set up a base of operations for the brewery.

Nice set up. We've been doing all grains for a few years, but haven't been able to do one for $15.

Hops are expensive... smile.gif

I grow my own and recapture yeast. Those are the two most expensive parts. I can get 10 batches out of a single strain of yeast. And hops are free. So grain is our only expenditure really. $33 for 50lbs of two row, and each batch takes between 10-14lbs of grain. It was more expensive when we bottled, but we keg now, so it's nice and cheap.

MAC has a pretty nice home brew setup.

I might have to check out some of your brews!! Beerp.gif

This is actually something that I would love to get into someday!
