They have a color called silver vain that is silver with black vain and is real cool.
I have a friend that has it and it still looks the same after a couple seasons. Looks
a lot better than reg. silver.

I have a silver hammer on my manx, I have never been in sand with it, but I think it would hold up really well, it is textured, and isnt all shiny, also on my car I am chroming the suspension but putting clear vinyl tape on the leading edges where it is exposed to sandblasting, here is a pic of the manx, hopefully you can see the color, it was done at ECP in El Cajon, the pic is a close up of the steering wheel, but you can see the frame in the background.

No it doesn't, it stays pretty nice. The vains come in different color combinations also. I think the black and silver is the best. Because of the texture
it is a lot thicker than regular powder coat also.

Black is a definite no go. My old car was black and showed every little scratch. I think they would look bad really fast. One of the cars in our group is silver vein all over and looks cool. Seams like it will hold up well too.

the guy I talked to at ECP said that the coating I got holds up really well and you cant see nicks and scratches, My front and back bumper are the same, I didnt want rocks and stuff making it look bad in a couple weeks, so far so good, I have put 300 miles on the car and still looks great.

when grant from funco took me for a demo ride in a couple of his cars, gils car is black, and the front was faded pretty good from being sandblasted from following. the chrome arms were also dull.

all the vein colors can be candied over to make any color you want, i have seen two chopper style bikes one with candy red and one with candy blue over silver vein and they look pretty nice, saw a nice patio furniture set with candy green over gold vein which looked pretty good too.
