That's right folks, the second biggest Honda advocate after our own Mr. Dune is the proud owner of a brand spankin new blaster. Please congradulate him on his new purchase and remember, baby steps are important. A blaster today, a warrior after he feels more confident, and maybe in a couple years when he's ready, a YZ125!!! [Big Grin] [Wink] I told you Robert, I just can't let an opportunity like this pass me up. I'm a bad man. [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

So Rob, what is your much valued (Not by me but I'm sure someone values it [Wink] ) opinion of suzuki quads, namely the one that threw you for a loop this weekend and possibly cracked your collar bone? I heard it landed on top of you and rode you for a bit. [Disturbed] [Eek!]

Now that sounds like something a Yamaha would do to you. [Eek!] But I hear Yamaha's are more back braking then riding. So Suzuki's can't be all that bad. [Wink] For me I would rather ride my bike then have it ride me. You guys need to get a HONDA. [Big Grin]
Chummin
Actually, it was not the ShaZuki that did that to me.. Doc just said my #1 rib is messed up, but it will heal. Luck my collar bone was not hit.. Now I know why I have a chest protector, I just need to wear it. [Disturbed]

Funny.. I was thinking about this subject this morning.. The reason Tres got his son the blaster is because he knows its an easy bike to learn on. Not enough power to take serious and perfect for the little ones to beat up on. I think he gets to write it off because they only last a year or two.
The second reason is because the boy needs to learn how to work on the quads. if he simply got a Honda or Suzuki he would never truely appreciate whats its like to actually work on a bike.
So with the blaster, he can safely avoid to much power and learn how to turn a wrench. Then he can move up to a real bike in a few years after wearing the yami out. [Big Grin]

And geez I guess I won't tease you when you get your Service Honda [Eek!] Actually I bought it to tell you all the idiotic feature flaws the blaster, same bike they been buildin for years has! Let start with the oil injector, Thats just dumb. The thing is hard to kick over. two stage kick thing goin on. Gas cap rattles like crazy, idle adjust under the seat , A little window to check the oil, I'll let you know some more as we go along. [Big Grin]

Service Honda? I don't know how to service a Honda, I've only owned Yamahas. I have no idea what your talking about. [Big Grin]

Rip the whole oil injection system out, intall a block off plate, and fill the tank with pre-mix. Many people have had no problems with the system but I've heard of enough seized engines that if it was my bike, I would take off the injection and use pre-mix.

I can't help you with the other stuff. That's just what makes Yamis stand out in the crowd. Enjoy! [Big Grin]

Well, I guess my blackmail pics of Tres on my Raptor are worthless now! Welcome to the Dark side! Haz

No way Frank. Why on earth would a Honda man switch to an inferior brand. LOL

Maybe a guy could be like some other guy and switch to a buggy, rather then ride a Yamaha. [Disturbed] [Beer] [Big Grin]

Now Mr dune.. ive got a Q.. how many hours usualy in a weekend do you show our quad at an event..hmm from my knowledge it seems to sit SHINNNy in a place with on of those "DO NOT TOUCH" signs for possibility of some type of Person to touch for fear of something breaking.. is that why you show it ...dont want any one to see the true quality of it... and how many hours does it actuallly get out for a ride.. i bet its spends more time in the garage trying to look preety then being out in the dunes beatin it like it should be...my 6 cent's!

Hahaha you must have been listening to Furball rants again. To answer your question the quad must have something like 25,000 miles on her. I've e wore out just about everything on it seal, bearing and paint. So when ever I have to fix something I upgrade it. Like the beer rack when all the welds broke and it was rusted I took it down to get it rewelded and rechromed so it looks new. I clean her up after every ride and do as much preventative maintenance as possible. She takes care of me so I take care of her. [Big Grin]

Oh and the only place I've showed my Quad is the Sand Sports Show and Mother G. [Wink]
