I bought a 1983 Suxzuki 125, it runs great for about 5 minutes. I rebuilt the carb with stock Suzuki parts and put it all to stock posistions. Same deal. I changed the fuel pump to a Suzuki stock part, had to make up a bracket to hold it as the steel cover that would normally do this is not there. Same deal. The engine is starving itself of fuel, when it stops there is no fuel visible in the tubing from the tank to the carb. I replaced all the hoses and believe i have no leaks. The manual doesn't show clearly where the hoses would go from A) the fitting on the collar that attached the carb to cylinder and B)the fitting on the side of the carb. Does anyone know the correct routing of where A) and B) should go? Help, my daughters getting mad at me.

Alimey try taking off the fuel tank petdork* and see if it is full of junk. The tank may be full of old gas flakes and they will plug up the filter on the petdork*. I bought an bike that had been sitting for years and the tank was full of small bits of paper and rust.
The petdork*s can be strange getting lose. Some of them the nut stays on the tank, some on the petdork*,and some have a right and left thread that hold them in place.

Take the hose that leads from the petdork* to the carb off the carb and turn on the gas. If you get a steady stream of fuel then there is a blockage in your carb pull the carb off and run air through it to clean it out.
But I'm thinking the same thing that Oldman is that your tank is dirty and the filter on the petdork* is plugged up...

Guys, this bike is a vacuum fed from the gas tank at the back of the bike by a vacuum pump, there is no petdork*. The tank and carb are clean, carb is rebuilt.

ARE YOU SURE THAT IT IS A CARB PROBLEM? IT COULD BE ELECTRONICS. THE COIL CAN GET TO A CERTAIN TEMP. AND THEN FAIL. I HAD THIS PROBLEM ON AN OLD YAMAHA DIRT BIKE. IT WOULD RUN GOOD AT HOME WHEN I WAS JUST CRUISING UP AND DOWN THE STREET, BUT THE SECOND THAT I TOOK IT OUT FOR A LONG TRAIL RIDE AND LET IT GET REAL GOOD AND HOT IT WOULD DIE. THE COIL FINALLY GAVE-UP COMPLETELY AND WOULDN'T WORK AT ALL.
BUT, IT YOU STILL THINK THAT IT IS A CARB PROB, IS YOUR FLOAT STICKING SO THAT IT WON'T ALLOW IT FOR FILL UP?
