Solpugid
user posted image
Solpugids have a scary appearance and are just as tough. They look like a ten legged spider and even resemble a scorpion. However, the two long arms in the front are called pedipalps. They have adhesive tips that allow them to hold their prey. Solpugids are very fast and have the ability to quickly chase down and grab their prey. They are not poisonous; instead they rely on large fangs. They are known to eat Scorpions, lizards, bees, and a host of nocturnal insects. If you are bitten by a Solpugid, wash the bite with soap and water.

as a kid we called them vinageroones. mom said that if they bite you, everything you eat or drink will taste like vinager for days. Never got bit so I don't know if it is true or not. But they sure look creepy
SHOCKER
If any 1 is found in my camp ill step on it, otherwise ill leave them alone, they are very scary looking
Kelster
Instead of stepping on it, catch it and send it to Screamin Ian. They eat scorpions after all icon_wink.gif

Oh geez, thanks Slappy!

I'm using this thread as AVERSION THERAPY.

Maybe if I keep looking at this little bugger some day I won't feel all itchy and crawly at the mere mention of the name! blink.gif
