can you photochop experts put my truck into the picture. don't be hatin on my photoshop skills laughing.gif . I figured out how to do the easier stuff like lower it and add wheels, but cant figure out how to blend the truck in to look like it was there.

i know the truck prolly looks terrible to you guys, but not bad for just playing with photoshop and figuring it out on my own.

Thanks,
Steven

oh and the truck should fit in that pic perfect, I took a pic of the truck, the pulled the truck forward and took another pic. you can see in the windshield where the neighbors red truck was.

Oh and the pics get resized here, if you want to full res ones which are 3264x2448, i can email them
Chummin
Im not very good at doing this stuff, but try these challenges when I can..
dunno.gif
Still think it looks photoshoped.
When I tried to match the red truck and roof line of the house in the passenger window, the truck had to grow in size.
Here are two for grins..

Im sure the pros will be along shortly.
LovesDunes
Darken the ground under it Chummin and you will be good to go.
Chummin
Think I went a bit overboard.. Used the burn tool to do it..
duneatic
here's the original chummin. i lowered the truck so it will sit lower like in your second pic. i can get it to about like that but cant blend it in.

I have another question, is it possible to make the door handles chrome, if so can you explain how?

Chummin
Im new at this, so Im the wrong guy to be asking tech questions..
Using the clone stamp with reference to the front grill, I ran a few passes over the door handle. dunno.gif

I used the shadow from the original truck picture...

Then I use the burn tool with the hardness turned down to 0% to darken things up a bit.

I got another question, how would you take the body moulding off the doors? I tried using the clone tool but it looked like crap.

Mulitple layers....paint, blend, smudge, erase, paint...blend...over and over!
lmao.gif

The part line between the doors needs some help...but I am slammed at work. I just wanted to play a little.

dbart
Oh and for a shadow...you can easily paint one! Start off light...make another layer. You can always erase if you don't like it.
Jut remember it will be darkest towards the center of the vehicle and feather out towards the edges. Just paint it in and imagine where the shape of the car will be projected on the ground.

Another question, how would you take the reflective out of the chrome to color it. I want to color match the grille, but cant get the reflection out of it and get it colored. I figured out how to match color, but cant get it to work on the chrome grille.

Thanks for the help,
Steven
Chummin
clone stamp using other parts of the grill that you like..

To make somethng less chrome lookng I usually just turn the contrast down. You might have to do it several times to get rid of the reflections.

Had a hard time trying to match that color though...

LovesDunes
Looks pretty good to leave the grill and just color the bumper...

Or do the black thing...

That portion painted will still have reflections...just not as crisp as chrome.
Sorry...I used Lovesdunes first post of the truck on the street to paint this bumper....no time at work for fun! icon_bigcry.gif
But anyways...basically, make a new layer, paint about the middle tone of the grey of the truck.
on the original, I distorted the shadows and got rid of the color in the reflections. since it is painted plastic, it will pick up some color of what it is reflecting, but from that far away...it tends to just look the color of the paint.
So, blur or smudge the reflections, paint and then add a little contrast since the front of the bumper will be a little darker than the top. also, add in a touch of blue sine the top will pick up some of the sky color...just not a lot.

fun stuff....

duneatic
Thanks dbart will try it that way and see how I do. I found a pic of a red bumper and grille so I chopped that in and colored it. I've gone crazy on my truck laughing.gif I've had fun doing all this cause I've been finding new tools and better ways of doing stuff. So far I have learned about the lasso tool, smudge, and match color. Learned other little things too. Photoshop is fun.

Here's what I have done so far, don't laugh and hate on the skillz! laughing.gif After you guys said how to blend the truck in I tried. Couldn't make it look like it belonged quite as good as you guys. I know this aint the style of truck for this site so don't hate too much on that either tongue.gif So what do you think, can I get a photoshop job pimp.gif

Also what do you guys think, chrome or black?

And thanks for the help guys 1dude.gif
LovesDunes
Dude, that looks good. Great job. Only thing that really stands out is the shadowing around the tires.

I prefer the chrome to the black. But I'm old like that. tongue.gif

Thanks, thought I'd give it some gullwing love!

Why do guys with gullwing doors have to leave them up everwhere they park. I think I'm gonna start leaving my doors open when I get gas, it's the new "cool" thing to do! tongue.gif
