Slap tracked this beautimus fella down for nearly 2 hours...following his candy cane like prints in the sand that told the story of his battles with the Desert Iguanas, searching the night for the heat he must find...

He had no clue Slap was this close to him, he was pooped out...Ain't he a photogenic one??? Slap sure thinks so.

Sidewinder Rattlesnake

When the weather begins to heat up, Sidewinder Rattlesnakes, or “Horned Rattlesnakes”, become quite active. They travel over sand using a unique “S” shaped style of motion, and can be found throughout the Algodones Sand Dunes system. They are very poisonous and should not be handled. Sidewinders prey on Kangaroo rats, lizards, and mice. (Notice the horned projections over the eyes).

Nice Slap - Our Gopher Snake finally shed his shin and took off to eat and feast on the local wild life. Left me a skin just over 5' long.. Ill pic it tommorow..

Nice work on the BIG MAN snake.. Hes a tricky one you know.. Those bushes can mislead the normal human - but not Slap or Mr. Redtail..
