It ran perfect this weekend, minus locking it in the trailer! but i still got a few questions.
#1 It just got re-built bout 2 weeks ago and it spat out some oil out the silencer, what can I use to clean that up with, water and towel didn't work ??
#2 I'm still having problems with the light, I bought a new switch for it and installed a new headlight, when i start the bike the light come son, but as soon as I put it in 1st and try to go it blows out, any ideas or suggestions ??
#3 I've bought some new tires with ITP rims for the front, and I don't want them to get all junked up, what can i use to keep them clean, and what can i use to make the back rims look like the front ones!?! I mean to polish them out!?!
#4 I bought new plastics for the bike all around, but the guy that had the bike before me, didn't take much care of it and the gas tank ( which is white) is all yellow now, is there something i can use to make it white again like the plastics ??
alright alrigh, I'm done, any help would be appreciated!

Andy lets see if I can help a little.
#1 Just use some striate gas on a rag and wipe it off.
#2 Sounds like you are missing a voltage regulator. This is it on the link, Item #9.
http://216.37.204.205/Honda_OEM/HondaATV.a...ype=13&A=1&B=35#3 Use "NEVERDULL" it works great and you can get it at any auto parts store. It comes in a chrome can. You just rub it on, let it dry and polish it off.
#4 No, there is nothing you can do about getting the yellow out. After a while the gas stains the tank and the sun burns it.

Andy,
In regards to your headlight blowing, start by taking off your front fenders. Look for the thick green wire that should be connected to the top of the frame near the stearing stem. Check to see if the wire is connected cleanly. It is possible for the wire to be broken right there. or, if you just re-did the bike, you probably re-powder coated the frame, if so, you might have a bad connection to that green wire, scratch off the powder coating where the wire meets the frame. I ran through this same problem. Voltage regulator was fine. Schhhhheck it out & good luck.

Dune, a while back a friend of mine told me about the "NEVERDULL" stuff. it didn't seem to work properly, I used it on my back rims, its the stuff that comes in a aluminum can and looks like cloth in a can ?? and 92 bucks for that voltage regulator..damn, more money going to the bike!

Andy, Yeah that's the stuff. With the NEVERDULL you some times have to use a little elbow grease. you know it's working when it turns black. It keeps my rims looking new.
The voltage reg. is no cheep item but then again anything you do to these bike is never cheep. That's the price you pay to play I guess. Try out Zogmans Idea first you may just have a bad connection there...

alright, I ran threw the bike looking for the connection, It looked like it was connected fine, but I cleaned it instead, I can't check the light again until I buy a new bulb, so I'll go after work today and let you guys know!

Try Flitz for cleaning your rims. That's the best polish that I have ever used.

You make your mother polish your rims?
I'm with Shane-o Mothers polish ...but I use it with #0000 steel wool shines like new!
I use steel wool with and without mothers for all my chrome/aluminum .... and Glass too.

Thank you all for your help, I'll check out those products and see which one works the best. About the light, I'll look around the bike somemore to see if anything else is wrong. I don't want to spend that kind of money and that may not be the problem.

HEY WAPA- IF YOUR RIMS ARE REAL BAD, USE SOME MOTHERS FIRST. ITS GOT THE GRIT IN IT TO BREAK UP THE BULK OF IT. THEN ONCE YOUR DONE THERE, GO TO THE NEVERDULL. NEVERDULL ISNT VERY GRITTY, AND AS TOM...I MEAN "DUNE" SAID, IT TAKE SIOME ELBOW GREASE. MOTHERS WILL MAKE IT A LIL EASIER. SLOP IT IN THERE, GET YOURSELF A BUFFING HEAD FOR A DRILL AND GO TO TOWN. THEN THE NEVERDULL BY HAND, WILL BRING OUT THE LUSTER!!!
