So I read on here a while back about using Sta-Flo liquid starch as a tire sealer. My front smoothies and one of my paddles needed air pretty much daily so I put 16 oz in each paddle and 8 oz in each smoothie.
Worked great!
My question is~if I was to take the tire off what am I going to have inside the wheel now? Liquid still, hard, big mess?

I don't know what happens to it, been running it for years. I have never had a gooey mess or even much of a residue when I have dismounted the tires. I just add some more when the tires start loosing air pressure which is about every 2 years.

probably nothing, because when I starch my shirts there is no residue. good idea, I might have to try that.

I did it last year too, works great! I used a small water bottle to fill the tires, I put a brass fitting in the cap and attached a hose to it, pull the valve core and youhave a premeasured 12 oz. to squeeze into the tire. easy to refill and when the bottle gets messy throw it away, keep the cap to put on another bottle.

Props to the first dude who had any clue something like would this would work and actually put it in his tire.

I was amazed at how well it worked and it's like 3 bucks a gallon!

How much would be recommended for a quad tire ??
1tonfun
Just a guess but I would say about 4 oz. I use 12-16 oz in a 35" paddle and 8-10 oz on the front smoothies on my sand car.

I went big. 24 oz in each paddle ans 12 oz each front tire for my sand rail.

For a quad maybe 4-8 oz. I guess start small to see what works. If it doesnt then add some more.

OK, questions.
Are you guys putting it in at the dunes, then going for a ride? Putting it in before you leave town? Or putting it in and just spinning the tire a few times? I have some and want to get it in my tires but want to do it now so I dont have to air them up all summer. My Limo I can put it in the front tires and drive around the block, but not the paddles, and my Mazzone has 3 flats and no street tires for the rear. It's on jackstands so I could just spin the tires some????

i did mine at glamis and drove after.

I did mine at home, had the paddles off and rolled them around on the floor then laid them on their side to coat the inside surface.

Me and my kid played "roll the tire" in the garage for a while with each one..........the fronts still lost air overnight. We were at Glamis a couple days later and after driving a while I haven't put air in them since.

Did mine at Gordons before heading out for the morning sessions. That was back in January and they're still holding the same air! I remember how cold it was then - now it's about too hot to go in the garage...
