Know the claim that closing land in the name of wilderness dosn't limit people from enjoying it the way that leaving it open to recreation supposedly does.
I found an example that proves those claims are bunk. It's a wilderness area in AZ which does allow visiting but with extreme limitiation.
It's only open to hiking. And only 10 people a day max allowed in with no more than 6 in any single group. Plus you still have to pay $5 for a pass and camping is not permitted. Neither is horseback riding which enviros always claim is allowed even in wilderness.
Where is this place? Here in AZ and it's managed by our friends the BLM.

Kind of interesting that the website for an area so "sensitive" that they only allow 10 people a day in has an area about "leave no trace" where the information is hidden. Would seem that kind of important info should be presented in an easy to read format.
