Ok this is whats up.... 3 weeks ago my friends banshee took a s***..the piston broke and messed up the the crank... it was all replace and fixed by alba... today we got it back and we went riding... we realized it wasnt running good.. now the left exhaust is throwing gas all the way back to the silencer... so we looked at the left carb and found that the rubber seal that attaches to the air manifold was only half on.. so we adjusted it,,but it still runs like crap.. is the carb jets now clogged from dirt getting in them?????? or does the carb have to be replaced???? or is it the cylinder????????

Thanks in advance
Ricky

I would take it back to Alba and talk directly to the Manager of the whole place, I cant count how many problems I have had with them, he wants to try, but does not have the personell support he needs.

yah i know man, my friends bike was in there for a month and 13 days just for the first problem.. that was 3 days after he bought it used from alba... so he has own it for about a month and a half and we have ridden a total of like 3 hours!!!!!!! he is pissed... and i would be too... im glad i didnt get mine from them...
SHOCKER
Call alba and ask to talk to cory hove (the owner) he is a very nice man and will help you solve the problem either by telling you whats wrong or having you bring it down and then they fix it, but do that he is a very cool guy
Rickycali23
sounds good...thanks man... but we are going in the morning so ill ask for him..thanks for the heads up...

Corey was the guy I was referring to, I went round and round with him, he really does seem to want to try and is undergoing a major change, he will work with you, just dont go in kicking and screaming.
Rickycali23
well i wont,,, but my friend i dont know... he spent 5,300 on a 99 banshee not including the 17% interest...so i think he's pissed especially before the nightride next weekend...hope they can fix it quick not like last time...
Screamin Ian
its a touchy thing, they might try and jam through it but miss something and it breaks while you guys are out there, good luck, I have been in your shoes before.
Rickycali23
Question...? what do you guys think is the problem with the shee?????????????

thing with alba is they seem helpful on the phone.....but their work isn't up to far from what I have seen

I would take the carbs off and clean them as well as the reeds. Check to see if any dirt got to the reeds. Also, check the plugs. Check compression in each cylinder if that does'nt work, take the plugs out and hold your thumb over each hole (one at a time) to see if there is good compression if you don't have a tester.

if it go too much gas, it probably washed the rings. but shouldnt it run lean if you have an air leak??
HA2
then again, i dont think you can wash the rings because the oil is in the gas in a 2 stroke. icon_smile.gif

Sounds like he fouled a plug. That would cause it to run badly and the gas/oil mix not burning up at all would fill the pipe.
