I believe it is the 1156 bulb... 1157 is stop, tail and turn, 1156 is single element.

why, all of em, of course...

mine is a 27' Cherokee(forest river) and it takes a total of 14 bulbs if you were to change them all out at one time.
This is a good idea. They already have a long life, but they get so hot when running them.

I have a 19ft and it has 10 inside, what a bout a bright white along with the warm, maybe they will be bright enough so you could run less lights and still be light enough inside? Do you think these would work for the outside patio light by the door?

I have a 38 ft fifth wheel and I have 16 bulbs inside I think.....might be 18...but that is not counting the lights under the cabinets..the little reading lights. No need to change those. I would order 20 though just to have some spares. What is something like that going to run...?

yup, for sure on the inside.
they will fit, but the way they shine prob wont be enough light to use on the outside.
I wish I had a way around this for the outside lights.

I have a 12" X 6" led setup I want to put outside for a work light, it is very thin and has a ton of led's in it, we'll see how it works. I think we bought it from Peterson Lighting, but I forget.

YES
these are Soft white- "no Blue"
yes the power drops down A LOT!
you will notice the battery the longer life on your house batteries
these are only 1.1w each!
I have LEDs on the outside of my house that I NEVER SHUT OFF!! since the power draw is sooo low
these are GENIUS for toy haulers!

I have 4 lights that are WAY too bright and cook (under the side cabinets) so these may be the answer for me. I gotta count how many total I need. I have a low celing too so I may change the overhead bulbs as well

Actually I put an LED in my porch light and like it much better than the old bulb. I also replaced the 2 rear ramp bulbs as well.
I used to have to run the floods to get more light outside the trailer, but the LED gave me just enough light that I could turn off the floods and save a lot of power.

I would need 18 of the 1056 style
I might have missed this but how much current draw vs. light output?
1156 bulbs draw ~2.1amp, I assume the LED would be much much less

I love LED's but let me be the stupid one. So cal or Kyle set me straight. Let's say I want to burn 8 1056's for 5 hours vs. 8 leds's for same period. Okay, 1/2 the power usage, but 2.2 amps vs 1.1 amps, what does that mean in terms of battery power actual consumption. If i started with 12.5 V reading on my battery bank of 4 6volts, on either setup, what would my voltage read be after burning both type bulbs for the same 5 hour period. It's the only way to know whether I should drop the hundi on all my light bulb conversions. What's the read deal bro's?

Well, I think those numbers might be a bit off. The 1156 bulbs burn 2.2 amp, but the LEDs burn considerably less. Maybe these are rated at 1.1 amps, I've seen others rated at less than that.
In your case, you have 440 AH of battery power, but we don't want to discharge below 50%, so you have 220 AH of usable power. You're going to save about 5.5A of current over a 5 hr period, so you'd have 215 AH left instead of 210 AH if you had regular bulbs. Doesn't seem like much. About a 2% reduction.
Especially if you use your inverter, or have the stereo cranked, you'll use a lot more power out of that than the bulbs. For people with just 1 or 2 batteries and kids who leave lights on all over, LEDs make more sense.
I switched to LED in the most often used locations inside and the porch lights because I wanted less heat in the light fixture and lower power consumption, especially in the porch light which might be on 8 or 12 hrs per night.

Thanx for taking that question Socal.
also, remember, the more lights you convert... the faster the numbers drop!
if you do the math, it makes sense.
$50 for 10pcs is pretty good deal
I'm not making much coin off you guys cuz your all my brothers and I'm just helpin' you steer.
