I need to replace the tires (6) on my moho before the season starts. Where's the best place to buy from? or who has a hookup? I'm in the SGV/Orange County area.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Tuker tire was the cheapest when I did it last year. Paid extra for a service truck to install them at work and to put in balancing bags.

Camping world sells them and I thought I saw them at Sam's Club. Not sure on pricing but worth a look.

Duane, the best price I found was on Toyo's 245/75R 22.5 (M154). That size crosses over well. Petes Road Service in Fontana (909) 829-0411 had the best price. $2,366.00 out the door and included balancing all 6 wheels.

Did you have to bring to your motorhome to him for the tire change? How did he balance your tires? I am ready for some new tires as well.

It is actually 295/75's that cross over. I did my Rev last year. I found Bridgestone had a buy 3 get one free deal going on. I got mine thru a Firestone dealer. I got all 6 mounted and balance bags in all 6 with road hazard warranty at any Firestone dealer for $2200 cash out the door. That was the best deal I could find anywhere, and I tried!

Pete's road service in Fullerton quoted me $3,840 for 6 Michelin XZE 275/80/22.5, same tire that came with the coach. That's gonna hurt.

Just bought 4 new rear Bridgestone’s, 295/80/22.5 before our trip to Winchester Bay this month These replaced the original Goodyear G70s. The MH forums seemed to like the Bridgestones best. They were much preferred over the Goodyears and most felt the Michelins were good but too expensive. I went to Parkhouse tire. Their yard in Bell Gardens was close to work. They have other shops including Santa Ana. Last year I bought the steering tires (from them) and I had them do the alignment due to poor wear on the originals. I felt they were best equipped to do a 40’DP.
Funny, I was talking to one of the owners (2 Parkhouse brothers) and he’s a desert racer.
Don’t buy a tire brand you don’t have confidence in. A tire failure in a MH can be an expensive event.

I move machinery for a living and have loaded my rigs to over 105,000lbs (permitted) and have never blown a Bridgestone.
I've blown ALL other brands....
FWIW....

Bridgestone doesn't make a tire in my size that came stock on my moho - 275-80-22.5. Can I put a diffent size on? Only size I see next is 295, whick means it will be wider.
One guy was telling me don't put a truck tire on the moho, ride will be a lot rougher. What's the deal?

Duane, did you check out this thread?
http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index....howtopic=245900 Look at the brands he can get, and see if you can find the size you need in one of those brands. For whatever it's worth, the posters on RV.net seem to love the toyo's. I would have went with them if they would have had that size for my moho. I got quotes of right at $4K for 6 Goodyear's from three different tire places. My local guy could get me bridgestones for $3200, and some china made "double nickles" for about $2700. Matt was able to get the goodyears at a price that was definitely worth the drive to San Pedro to pick them up.
As to changing sizes, from my little bit of research on rv.net forums, it seems other than making sure they have the same or better load capacity, the issue comes with having enough space between the duals so they don't rub together. Since I had the option at a price that only cost an arm, (not an arm, a leg, and the left testicle) I avoided all of that by going with the original make. (which isn't the favorite pick on rv.net...but has worked for me for the past 7 years)
I can get you the number of my local tire guy if you want to get a quote from him, but it might be offset by the round trip fuel costs..

FMCA has a Michelin tire deal that is well worth the membership price. I went to Pete's Road service for new tires for my rig. I ended up with 6 Michelin XVA3+ tires in 275/80R/22.5 for for 4K, saved $60/tire with the FMCA membership.
