I was just curious what you banshee guys use. I've read alot of boards where the guys are using auto tranny fluid type F. Has anyone ever used this? How does it work. I have a beefed up FZR clutch!

My buddy uses 80/90 gear oil, I do too in my 2-stroke and 10w-30 Castrol in my 4-strokes. What I do though is change oil after every weekend of riding.

ATF in a Motorcycle, Not sure about that. But, don't run car oil in your motorcycle, it has nothing in it for the clutches. It's more expensive, but the motorcycle stuff is the only way to go.

yeah, I used to change it every ride when my banshee was new, but I can't see myself doing that anymore. Every few trips should be fine.
Do not use ATF, our bikes don't have a 700R4 tranny in them!!! I really recommend the Spectro 80W for 2STROKES. And use the recommended oil for your thumpers (4strokes).

I have been drag racing Banshees for the past 7 years, YES ATF TYPE "F" works! I prefer Trick Shift by B&M.
You need to make sure you only use ATF TYPE "F" or Trick Shift and not regular transmission fluid

I use Atf in my 2 strokes without a problem?
I was convinced by a guy named DeWane Jones
Do search for his name?

Put some ATF in this weekend and ran it. I must say that it shifted alot smoother than the Golden Spectro 80W I was using before

I will keep running 2 stroke trans oil. I like having the extra lubricating properties. Spark plugs and oil are cheaper than an engine and trans overhaul. I'm curious about the the use of "F" type only. "F" type has less lubricants than Dextron. Does the Clutch slip to much with the Dextron? It's probably fine because they use ATF in some car manual transmissions and would be able to stand up to clutch abuse. Just call me old fashioned, I like to use what the factory recomends.
