My brother and I were on the way back to Vegas from CA and noticed the Artic Cat rig so we went to take a look and theywere out there with 3 or 4 Wildcats doing testing. I would have liked to get some good video but it felt like they wanted to tell us to get lost but they didn't. I snuck this little video with my phone camera.

looks like fun, but the cage looks cheesey.

It doesn't look any cheesier than any other UTV cage.

I honestly think this is the best looking UTV yet. The Rhino was flat out ugly, and the Rzr cage has a big raked hump in it for no good reason. The Can am doesn't interest me.

I'm looking forward to reading some independent reviews on these to see if they're as good as the specs suggest.

Right on. Every brand is gonna have its pro / cons I'm just happy to see the direction the manufacturers are heading with more suspension and power.

This.

You put this next to any other UTV (Except Rzr S, XP or 4 - All nice - Just too narrow) and they look like farm equipment.

1000cc's seems to be the magic number for a UTV....would anyone need more? dunno.gif

The cage on this actually looks good, like a sand rail. It the suspension travel is awesome 17' / 18' OEM.

This is as ready out of the box as they have come to date.

I think that it is cool that they are testing out at Lenwood, anyone who has ever driven off road out there knows how rough it is. If it is going to break it will do it there. beer.gif

Part of their tour-ride events they will be in Barstow Oct. 22

Theres a full write up on utvunderground.com from Joey D and Dan with Magnum Offroad. They were invited out to Barstow to mash the new Wildcat. Sounds like its going to be sweet. They report its not as fast as the XP but that the suspension is better and isn't even dialed in yet. Will still get into the 70's.

Just read the write up on UTVUnderground.com...gives an RZR S a run for it's money.

It will smoke an "S"... gives the XP a run for its money however.

Thinking of running up to Barstow/Stoddard Saturday to get some seat time in one... anyone else going up.

What I meant...the XP.

That big raked hump is very much apprieciated by anyone over 6', or so, function over form, it gives me approx: 5"-6" or maybe 4" with a helmet, I nearly cut out 3"-4" out of the rear support bars, glad I didn't.

I wonder what the pricing will be, looks great.

I have had my Arctic cat XTZ 1000 up to 70mph and belive me you don't want to go any faster.

Agree 100%. And I have LT on my Prowler. Your shocks and tire pressures need to be fully dialed, and you really need to be on your game at that speed. Stuff just can happen so fast.....

Thats a good write up and video. Feel sorry for the guy that buys one of these and goes end over end at 70 mph with those stock belts and probably no helmet. scared.gif

They could have given that much headroom without making it look like a hump.
