It's true, but I'm not sure about the corrosion caused by water, even if it is distilled.

Definitely true, with respect to max cooling occuring with plain ol' D.I. water. However, as previously posted, you do lose corrosion protection contained in anti-freeze. I think that's what the "cool ice" and "water wetter" products will give you if you want to run straight water. Daddog and his kids are looking for max performance, so they may not be as concerned with "long term" things. Just something to think about.

known that all along, but still use engine ice in my bike. dont really care about running cooler in the summer when im not riding.
