There is a dual european scramble on September 11th and 12th at Red Mountain (near Ridgecrest). European scrambles are usually 10 mile loops over natural desert terrain and ran for 1 hour. District 37 (and District 38) races are a great way to get started in the sport and are great training for Baja and Best in the Desert.
