I have an outside wall sconce light on my garage, and it has 3 small b10 bulbs in it, the kind that kinda look like candles. Well I replaced all 12 bulbs in 4 of the sconces and 3 of the sockets in various fixtures are not working. They appear to be melted.
Does anyone know where I can find a replacement base to fix these?
I don't have a problem taking them apart and rewiring them, just can't find a base on the net. I"m sure I'm not using the proper terminology so that's probably why I can't find them. Everything I find is automotive when searching for b base replacement socket.
any help is appreciated.
thanks

You might be able to find the sockets themselves with wire pigtails under residential lighting on amazon.com or at your local hardware store. Without seeing the fixture itself, I really couldn't give any better ideas. I've messed around with my outdoor flood fixtures, adding a third socket where the motion sensor used to be but those are very generic parts, meant to be pieced together.

ok thanks
I figured out the base is called e-13 I think it was, so I'll start checking there.
