I hit it twice with the 9mm, and if I would have been standing with the 12GA actually aiming with it, I would have hit it the first time. Oh well, he aint gonna bother anyone anymore anyways.

the only creatures I have seen in the desert are lizards and one tarantula. havent seen any sankes, dont want to either.

We saw a sidewimder in the washes 2 seasons ago
today I was driving the ranger to the bottom of the street, and I saw a turtle, he was about 100 yards from the end of our driveway, the closest neighbor is 1/4 mile away, so I seriously doubt it was a pet.
It was about 8 inches in diameter, just cruising along the asphault rd. I parked and watched him for a few minutes and off into the bushes he went. First time I saw a real turtle in the wild, this was just a wacky weekend.

I saw a sidewinder in our camp last time I went to the desert. But it was this one....
