Damn just hanging all that stuff looked like a lot of work!

Opening day for my sons Little League. He doesn't play his first game till Wednesday though. He is excited as this is his second year of organized baseball and first year where they have a pitcher. He is improving a lot since the start of practices.

Have fun in OW Ian.
AZDUNERAT
Well all of the popcorn is down, the holes for the fan and the lighting are all cut and the cleanup went like I had hoped. I am off to lowes to get the electrical cord, switches and some sanding pads. I dont see the mud being done today, but def by tomarrow. I am hoping to have the room all buttoned up by next weekend.

Had a great day in Octillo today, got back about 7:45 tonight. We did quite the loop around the place and saw some cool stuff. I will try and get a few pics up tomorrow morning. Wind was wicked all day. But it was lots of fun in the sun.

have a great night everyone.

Yesterday was awesome!!

I hurt pretty bad today......mostly when I stand up or sit down 1600mg of Motrin hasn't even touched my pain.......going to go down to the jacuzzi today and soak!

The pain is worth it......I'd do it again in a heart beat!

here are some starting pics and the finished pics

We will finish the mud on tuesday, thursday I will sand it and get the paint on. Still hoping I will be moved back in on sunday. Should be able to get it done. Well I am exhausted and am off to bed.

looks great Aaron.

Trailer packed already? geez I guess I need to get on the ball and prep mine, I still have some stuff to do on the buggy. I may be running out to the sand next weekend and dropping some stuff off to Justin if he makes it out.

Welp, I am off to get the motorcycle serviced.

We have a guy coming out this afternoon to give me an estimate for some pavers.
AZDUNERAT
Ian how dark did you end up going on the tint for the truck. Any pics you can post.

On the work done, Burt helped me wire up the lights and the switches and it was a cluster F*ck for sure. Ian when are you going to be making your next trip out here?
DanzKawi
looking good Aaron, working hard and it's going to turn out great.
SandTrap

Aaron I went 20% on the front windows (same as the Canyon) and I think 5% on the back (just a tad lighter than limo, but it could be darker and I wouldnt mind). I dont have any pics at the moment, but I can try and snap some for ya if you like. the big difference was the Benz getting done, Robin got the same as me on the back 3 windows and got 45% done on the front, the front is really light, but she didnt want to get hassled, its dark enough that if you look you can tell something is there, but at a glance they just look like a light factory tint. major improvement, it is screaming for some 20's now.

I just got back home from the motorcycle dealer getting my first service done, throttle bodies were a hair out of sync but everything else was good, I am definately getting alot more comfortable on it. Almost have 1000 miles on it now.

Aaron, I dont know if and when I am going to get out there, I need the lid to my wing to magically appear in Justins shop so he can fix the latches. I would prefer not to drill out the rivets for the hinge and get the whole thing to him. IF he is running to the desert this weekend(12-13) I may drop it off to him there, then run out and pick it up or see if someone can bring it to Glamis the following weekend(19-20) if its done.
The Wife
The Benz turned out great. I don't have any befores, but the windows were all clear. Here it is now, I am very happy.

Damn look at Robin Rollin the benz icon_biggrin.gif How have you been dear, I havent seen you on for a bit
The Wife
Ahh crazy busy, just finished closing out last year with the CPA's. Always a painful process, but this year was MUCH better than last, cheaper too. The Benz is great, you can't beat free! Even with all we have put in to it, we are still way ahead. And I am saving about $80-100 per WEEK in gas.
Shelvis
Looks great Robin! Did you have those plates on the Burb or are they new for this car? I like it!

DanzKawi
thats a great photo chop on the plates
Screamin Ian
evenin' guys. Hope all is well with everyone. Just got an estimate for some pavers in the front. not decided if we are gonna pull the trigger yet.

Aaron you got yo'sef a PM
Lucky
Hey I resemble that remark. Should I be offended by the painful comment tongue.gif

Ian, pavers are pushing $8 sq ft installed here...maybe more by now
Shelvis
Morning hello.gif have a good day!!!
Screamin Ian
It came in right around $13 a foot. What that includes is digging down 5 1/2" putting 2 layers of aggregate in, compacting all that, then screeding sand, compact, hand laying all the pavers, installing about 120' of "bond board" around the perimeter so the boarder doesnt move, then sand in the joints and clean. They come with a lifetime guarantee against everything. and the pavers themselves are a tumbled style in 3 different shades of grey layed in a modular style pattern. I have never gotten a quote for stuff like this before, but comparing the work that they are going to do, vs. laying tile in what I do, it seems pretty fair. Expensive, but fair. We were thinking of doing a 9' wide path from the front landing and have it wind to the deck.

Burt, good to see you lurking in here.

Hope you guys have a great day, weather is just plain weird up here, mornings and evenings are in the low to mid 40's then days vary 10-15 degrees depending if the sun breaks through or not, still cant get over how perfect yesterday was for riding. I had an AWESOME ride home, nobody in front of me for about 40 miles. kept up a nice pace and it felt good getting the bike less that verticle
AZDUNERAT
Im sure it will come out amazing but you are right is it X$ amazing. Have a great day moofs

Holy chit burt is alive. I thought I had killed him for blaming me for the nasty ass Farts that were let loose during the wiring of the nursery
Screamin Ian
alrighty....I owe, I owe, so off to work I go.
DanzKawi
^^ well said my friend, well said
Screamin Ian
I see ya lurkin Burt...

Too bad I was workin at moms today, had to shave off 3/8" off her doors, the new carpet is thicker than the old stuff.

Murphy and his law straight up kicked my ass today. It was a struggle just to get through it, hopefully tomorrow will go a bit smoother.
DanzKawi
whats up Aaron
AZDUNERAT
Well we went and bought five gallons of paint for the ceiling and walls in the master bedroom. My wifes father finished the plaster today and I am hoping that thursday I will sand it flat sponge it clean and get it painted in one day. I am still hoping to move back in by sunday. We picked up a nice hampton bay 60" fan that I think will really add some kick to the room

I thought the saying goes, "What would you do for a Klondiac Bar"? I love Klondiac Bars.

what the eff are you babbling about Jimmy?
Screamin Ian
we only have 4 fans in the house, master bedroom, living room, office/futon room/spare bedroom overflow room and kitchen. dont really have a place for any more, and we really only have a 2 bedroom anyway. Most of the time we have a nice breeze from some direction that we can open a window to. But yes they do make a huge difference.
YFZ4KT
THat quote sounds about right Ian, you are out in the woods a little ways also ...

morning peeps!!!! Jimmy, it's Klondike not Klondiac......LOL!

Ian, would stamped & stained concrete be less expensive to lay than pavers?

Counting down the days until the next weekend in the sand!
