Sorry to hear that Ken, I dont know how you do it, I am leaving now to go drive for 2 hours to do 3 hours worth of work helping my buddy put up a fence. But what are friends for right?

And besides, I have the tools and knowledge (he is a first time home owner and stuff), BUT he has a really cool pool!!!

yeah, well thats what friends are for, we busted out the fence and gate in a little less than 3 hours, he set aside the whole weekend to do it. It took us longer to drive to Depot, get materials and drive back than to build the fence.

what comes around goes around Ian......Yeah I am off monday....but it kinda makes Tues a long day, but oh well, things happen

I dont mind doing stuff for my buddy Devon, he is my best friend, we have been through thick and thin together, I have known him for 15 years, I was his best man at his wedding, etc. Its really not that far of a drive, and I like helping him out.

that is what I was saying, you help out others, and they should help you out..........it was very nice of you to lend a hand.....now how far are you from Vegas....I have a wall/fence I need to build

funny you should say that, I was thinking of a Vegas trip, as soon as I have some "extra" cash I dont need anymore.

oh well 2 things, let me know when, so we can try and meet up, and tell me how you find some extra money that you do not need anymore, so I can see if it will work for me

Thanks for the offer, I doubt it will work anytime soon, I was just driving up the 15 to my buds house yesterday, and he was the last person I went to Vegas with (his bachelor party). So the thought went into my head, but who knows. I know Robin wont mind if I do want to go, but I can think of a lot better things to do with the $$$ right now, I need a pole saw first...

I hear ya, bet there is a lot of trees around your place that needs a trim

you could say that again, its kinda funny, I can get the main parts of the fields cut with the mower, but I cant get around the base of some trees cuz the branches are too low for me to drive under them with the mower, so I have these island tree things with 6' tall weeds under them.

that is kinda funny....

I should take a few pics before the weeds die off from all the killer I sprayed on them.

Yup i know what you are talking about...mine also starts and stops on different days

At first it wasnt too bad, I just made a trip out there and we talked about what I wanted in the car, etc. for about 4 hours. and that was it. I had already reached my budget at that point. But about a month later (before the car hit the jig) Robin said lets spend some more money on it and make it bitchen. So thats when the S4, chrome triple bypasses, and chromoly frame happened. Then a couple months after that when we realized the S4 had the wrong gearing, Justin stepped up and decided to go with the Fortin, on my last visit I think it was Jan. thats when I decided to go with the 934's and powdercoat the axels. I only made a few changes along the way, and my budget drastically paid for it, but I also had to wait an extra 5 months for the car, and most of the changes happened during that time. I think the next drastic change will be a supercharger next summer, depending on how many other projects I have at the time. There is a slight chance I might get one of my father in laws old Studebaker cars. then I will drop some $$$ into that. Like a blown Hemi for example.

Well i'm not changing things everyday. But I did change the tranny last night, desided to go with the Mendi E box instead of the 091

I am thinking that is the stronger tranny? that is a smart move, I cant tell you how glad I am that I went with the Fortin over the Mendi, and the 934 axels over the 930's. Do it once, do it right and it wont have to be done again.

Like Ripster, he had the Mendi 2d for one season, he just put in the Fortin, and by doing that had to basically buy 2 trannies instead of one.

Luckily you guys have had a couple cars before so you know what you want and need, and what you liked and disliked. So that should help with the decisions to be made. One thing I really love are the two mounts I have for my in car camera. I am glad I was thinking ahead of the game. There is really only one thing I would change, and that would be something for a GPS system. I have a handheld but a big screen would be nice. maybe someday I will get the console reworked if need be.
