We all knew the rules, don't hit the plants, or five seconds we add,
so don't take the chance.

Steep uphills and downhills will challenge the team,

As the timers watch closely for a ride that is clean.

Hard lefts and rights, we knew where to go.

The Slappy Race Team would put on a show.

Four strokes or two, you run what you brung,

Even the buggies would get in the fun.

At times it got Looney, but somehow we knew,

That the champion would emerge, and he’d be on two.

FNG, he took the checkered flag,

And a first timer to the dunes had something to brag.

Then came a CHEF for a run of the track,

but not even Mike330R would give him his 5 seconds back.

A man came from Florida, see the smile on his face,

Sndsamplr rode, and took 2nd place.

Along came a Chum, taking 6th in the sand,

Fireball rode hard, as only he can.

There were signs there to show how fast you should go,

The man on two was crowned King of the Show.

A good time had by all was the phrase of the day, and for those who pulled “No Shows”, well, what can we say.
