IF you are one of those people who monitor the off-roaders to get a wood over infighting, grab something to wipe up the spew! (we don't want you to mess up your Burkenstocks)

I know I have posted stuff like this before, BUT G-Damn it I'm Pl$$ED! I as every one else realizes it takes a while to make things happen. (I know half of you already know where I'm coming from) Two weeks ago a post went up in the church. I Made a suggestion on how to go about it a bit differently. VOR even seemed to like the idea. So I sent out at least 20 E-mails called on favors from my friends (outside the duning community) If you want to know what I'm talking about check out "the longest train ever" post over at the church. If you disagree that my idea is a bad one I understand (star user posted image)

BUT this is really what gets me at least six months ago Keith Vience and myself had a falling out and I got kicked off their board. Last Friday I finally went over to the ORG. Board and asked for some help with my idea. 0-reads 0-responds! Sunday my post was gone and I am once again not being allowed to post on the ASA board!

I think I have a ligit whine
And I think that Vince and Keith are the cheeze!

Other than f-ing with slappys neighborhood last weekend I thought I've been pretty straight up with this whole BBS thing I don't get their beef! ( I heard that star user posted image)

It's come to a point where they have been able to tottaly block any communication FROM me, but they have NO problem sending me "updates"

If anybody wouldn't mind helping me get their attention please let me know. ( I'm sure what I have in the works now will get their attention and approx. 4.6 million households in the So Cal area.) "Make it and they WILL watch!"

Thanks for your time.

A genius once pointed out to me that there are other organization out there I could support. Any suggestions? I think I'd like to start one up myself. " for the duners, by the duners and run by the duners" BTW this could get us nonprofit benefits. That COULD equil free air time!

There are plenty of other organizations helping to fight for our cause. Just none which are devoted only to sand related causes. That was why the ASA was formed in the first place.

Other organizations to support:

CORVA
http://www.corva.org

Blue Ribbon Coalition
Can't find their link right now

San Diego Off Road Coalition
http://www.sdorc.org

Those are off the top of my head. Give me some time and I can probably come up with at least a half dozen others.

As for getting Vince and the boards attention. I'd say do something very positive for the dune community. That's what worked for me. I had a few differences of opinion with Vince and felt the ASA wasn't keeping it's members updated (even when there is no news to give) frequently enough. I got his attention by building a letter generator and then offering it to him for the ASA to use. Since then I've enjoyed helping Vince and the ASA to the best of my ability.
Don't just bring them ideas, bring them results. Go out and get a local news team to do a story on the dunes. Be sure to let the ASA know so they can get someone official on the record. We need all the POSITIVE publicity we can get right now and it's not easy to come by. (I've been trying to get some through the paper and TV station down here in Yuma and there is a LOT of bias to fight).

All of the ASA board members get plenty of good ideas in the mail every day. But it's still a volunteer organization and they only have so many resources. Bringing them ideas only helps drag the process down. But acting in a positive way and then bringing the results of your labors to them will help.

Besides joining the ASA is free so it's not that hard to get your number counted for the people up in washington who can change things.

Hope that answers your questions. Feel free to contact me through e-mail if you want to go into any of this in more detail.
