Here's the post:

Every attempt has been made for accuracy; thus the delay in posting. Times are approximate. No recordings were allowed. A stenographer was not deemed necessary since this discussion was not intended to be a negotiation platform.
We made it crystal clear from the start that these are discussions and not negotiations - we went further by requesting that they don't refer them as such in news releases, interviews, etc.
No matter how any person wants to spin it, the definitions of the two are not similar.
You and I are having a discussion as you read this, however, we are NOT negotiating anything. I am simply conveying thoughts, observations, information, and ideas to you. I could be telling you what I will do next. I could be telling you that if you do XX, I will then do YY.
For example, if you kick my dog, I will kick yours - not a negotiation, just stating facts - no give and take as in a negotiation. You could make me an offer to buy your car and I can state that I am not interested - we did not negotiate on the purchase of your car. I simply declined your offer.
This is what CBD did and is what ASA did after they had finished – we didn’t like their offer so we didn’t buy the car.
CBD's position is essentially nonnegotiable - that in itself, by the very nature of the offer, precludes any negotiations.
We took the stance that the new RAMP is what we want to see and we are going to fight for the AMA to be open without a permit when it is finally implemented. Recent raw data on the PMV studies indicate that we have a good chance to do that.
It is our hope you are happy with that stance. Contact me if you are not.
Below is a link to a PDF. It is a recap of yesterday’s meeting as seen through the eyes of the ASA team. It is about a half a meg download, so dial uppers, be patient.

Wow quite a meeting.
Sounds like they are still trying. Some of their comments make me want to puke.
Glad you at least met with them and glad you stood your ground.

Bet this meeting would have had a different tone (from the CBD) if Kerry had won.
Did you notice the Fringed toed lizard threat? We've got to get subspecies protection removed from the ESA! There are a whole hoard of scarabs, butterflies and lizards all teed up for the CBD to "protect". And each is only just slightly different from the other.
ESA protection should remain at the species level, or we are going to be fighting the CBD for a long time.....

Are you saying that if Kerry would have won the Enviro-Wackos would have offered to give it all back to us duners?

Politics are monster, not give the dunes back monster. But that word "tone" is key! This is the time to make a move, a move to the right.

Dang-it, forgot. He didn't win. Get over it. And he didn't steal it. Get over it. And he won both the popular and electorial. Get over it. We took seats in both houses. Get over it.
Sorry. Had to. Now where's my gum?

Never questioned whether he won or not. Just pulling your chain. Hopefully the move to the right helps us in regards to getting our dunes back. I won't hold my breath though. As with everything, it'll help a little over here while hurting a little over there.
