I know I should at least know this much, but where'd the name Glamis come from? I'm serious. My daughter asked me and I the only thing I could say was (....LOOK AN ICE CREAM TRUCK) cost me two, fity but I Dodged the subject.

Dat be a good question JonRyder, Slappy gonna have to look into that one. But, Slappy like your idea. Slappy did here one time in a dream that GLAMIS means 'da largest of its kind', whatever KIND it be, but that was when Slappy was in a serious mental state a long time ago. Slappy get into that later......

I think Kurt may be right. I work in a rehab facility and there was a pt there a few years ago who was from Scotland and he had a book entitled "Glamis". It was a large picture book ( or I wouldn't have opened it) about 1 castle in Scotland that was named "Glamis Castle". It has been lived in since the 1400's by the Earl's of Strathmore, the present Earl is Princess Diana's cousin. After he showed me his castle book, I showed him pictures of the "real" Glamis, and he replied " yes, sand castles".

Everyone has probably already read this at least once but here goes anyway.
The Glamis Castle in Scotland was also the setting for W. Shakespeare's Macbeth.
