Today I went off to ocotillo wells, mid afternoon I noticed that the braided line from the rear shock to the resevoir was leaking. It had been rubbing on the chain Idler bushing thing....The dang thing spewd the oil all over the bottom of my quad, and the worst part is I'm not sure how long I was riding like that.(no more than 30 minutes)...Could I have ruined the shock? ....has anybody had this problem? and is this somthing that would be coverd under warranty; since it was not directly because of my neglect?
I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow but I am just itching to get some answers.
thanks

elcamino you rock, I knew you'd reply! I have no Idea but they are frayed right where they are rubbing the idler pully. and that is the source of the leak...I have the extended warranty so I'm good till 2006

ok, just looked at mine. maybe polaris changed the line cuz mine is like more than an inch above that idler pulley and is fairly stiff. maybe it was a little longer before and it sagged down? youll just have to take it into the dealer and see what they can do.
did it start getting real bouncy and thats when you realized something was wrong??

fortunatly this is the only problem I have had with mine....I've herd some horror stories about the frames and transmissions on the 03 models..keeping my fingers crossed.
