I've been poking around on this board lately and I have to say that I am not really pleased with what I've been seeing.
It seems that the familiarity that has been gained by having our GlamisDunes Bash's has caused everyone to just throw civility out the window and post anything they want.
I would like to make a simple request.

PLEASE refrain from posting MASKED words. Do not use a ( for a C in the "F" word. If you MUST use an inappropriate word then mask the whole thing out! Other things that should be avoided. Don't misspell words to get by the filter. The filter is there for a reason. PLEASE quit trying to bypass it.

Second, It appears that the posting style of the day has become BASH POSTING. While I understand that this type of posting has some certin appeal you should take a momment to realize just what that kind of posting looks like to a new member.
A post or two picking on someone is not a problem. But when a bash session goes on from topic to topic it just gets old and chases new users away. You should also employ some sort of qualifyer in all sarcastic or joking posts. Make sure that not only does the person you are bashing know that you are kidding but everyone else reading that post should know. Make sure you put J/K or Just Kidding or <wink> or whatever you can to make sure people know that you are kidding!

Thanks for the words pastor. I must say that I haven't really posted in a few days, cause I have been really unsure of what people would respond back. I think that the hoopla over the strippers was very inappropriate. I also want to add that this is a family board. Some of our younger children also read some of this, and I don't know about anyone else, but this is not how I want my boys to act around women.

Also, the bashing has really been out of hand. I can't tell who is really mad, and who is not. Also in the midst of all of this one of our own has suffered a horrible loss and is trying to deal with losing a good friend. I can't believe that no one else has had words of comfort for him, but instead have been focusing on naked women.

That's all I have to say for now, and thank you Kennie for taking those posts off!!

Oh Pastor, Slappy needed that sooooooo bad. You never cease to amaze da Slapster, and PLEASE don't ever stop! For awhile there, Slappy was feelin all shastamcsnapplish(dat means feelin shastamcsnapplish, not good).

I agree I even indulged in some of the smack talkin myself. Im sorry for that. I can understand where your coming from. Who knows how many fellow duners we might have scared away. Im sure we might even have gained a few from it but this board is not our property as kennie stated in his "keep it clean" post.

My kids were totally stoke to see they made it into your website. They jump up and down screaming everytime I log onto the internet wanting to see themselves again.

If I want to post four or five astrics will it turn it into a "bad word"? Just wondering?
No dissrespect VOR but plese draw me a line I can step over. (wait I think you did) But when were talking Junk yard wars and it takes out Krap as in skrap yard I gotta laugh my ass off. See it let me keep the word ass I know things can never be perfect, but lossened up maybe? We have a teen site now. Can we make an "Adult" section?

The language filter can be a humerous thing. It has some words that probably don't belong in the filter.. Thats all fine and good. It makes things funny. But let's get serious here, making up a funny way to spell out the "F" word is NEVER gonna be cool. There is no line to cross because it is all relative. No one has said "Don't post this word, or Don't do that." All I said was don't try to bypass the word filter, please. You know the purpose of it. You know what it is for... If you think a word MIGHT be offensive to SOMEONE.. then don't use it.. Ass is not in the filter... but I don't like to use it.. so I say ARSE. I am not saying that YOU have to do the same. I am not laying down rules here. I don't make the rules. You can listen to my requests. You can listen to my observations, or you can ignore me, thats up to you. It's your board after all.
