sorry gotta rub it in.... great weekend. good weather. wind blew alittle just enough to smooth out ther days tracks on friday and saturday but died down to be an excellent weekend. had some awesome dune rides and all around fun. you whould have went.

Sandfanatic i didnt get a chance to look for you too much. not sure where exactly "the shelf" is but oh well. how was the ride? we had some aswesome lines cuz no one was out there. it was a totally dead weekend. no draags hardly at all but it made for some great dune rides.

im sore and tired from riding but im happy! icon_biggrin.gif beer.gif

I agree, Great weekend. Couldn't have asked for better weather. The Glamis ride was great. My buddy blew out his decompression plug on the way back though. Went into Yuma and got a billet one. He was back up and going in no time. Did you see the camp with a projection on the side of a enclosed trailer? If so that was us. We watched 4 concerts and 2 movies this weekend. Our group was really small this weekend which was great for a change. We were all out there, but in two different groups. Some say they couldn't find us and others did find us. Who knows, but it was better this way. Dunes were in great shape. Sorry no pics, just pure riding.

Go ahead rub it in but I'll be there in 4 short days monkeedance2.gif It sounds like both of you had a great time. That's the perfect time to go good weather, no crowds. I'll be thinking of you next weekend when I'm out there. Were going to go with some friends of ours that have a buggy and a few friends of theirs. Never been out with them before.

What my group calls "the shelf" is: when you go over the bridge and head out at a 45* angle (going towards center field) there is a spot about halfway out that steps down. That is the shelf. If you don't know what I'm talking about, watch for it next time. Most people don't even realize it's there unless they use it for a mark. Which we do. We usually part right by it. As soon as you drop to the lower area we find camp in that general area. I watched for you, but didn't see you. We were at the hill Saturday night and at Patton's during the sunset.

see i know exactly what you are talking about i even thought about that when you first said that. oh well i probably cruized right by you without even knowing it. we didnt do any night riding. too much beer.gif. and sunset we were in the dunes right by test and getting pretty deep into those dunes and the ones by the second valley. oh well, there is always next time!

i think i can speak for the both of us when i say that i think we were too busy riding dunes that werent packed at all. we just had too much fun on the dunes and didnt worry about tryin to find eachother.

BTW how was the luke warm egg nog?! laughing.gif

Ya the beer went down very smoothly for us out in the desert next to the camp fire at what we called Trailer Trash Theaters on Friday night. Oh and the Fire work competition with the camp next to us was fun also.

Last time I was supposed to hook up with everyone I spent like 1/2 hour cruising the flats with no luck...then Yami runs out from behind some truck and starts waving at me. He's like 2 camps from me. He tries explaining where HV is, because I said I'd say hey to him too, but I just wasn't getting it. So I went back to the rig and called him, and he ends up being the very next camp over! 25bangin.gif
