Hey Vor, just saw the Classic Glamis video you have on your site. Man, that is way too cool! I would ask how in the hell you got it, but you probably won't tell. Or will you? Can I buy a copy? I wasn't even born when that video was made. It is awesome! And to think, Chris Economacki narrating it. Wow! Too cool buddy, thanks for posting that on your site.

Isn't that a gem?
I found that by accident while channel surfing late one night. I hit record in time to grab it and then converted it into a real media file.
I really like those classic buggies. Thats what dunin's all about to me... You build it, you run it!

"You build it, you run it" Right on, Brian!!!!!!

I feel the same way about street rods. I don't think you have the right to show it off if you paid someone to do all or most of the work.

P.S. I have a '57 VW (last year for the Oval Window) that I've torn down to the pan (replaced the floor) and slightly customized. Needs upholstery and motor. Would like to sell it -- if anyone out there is interested.

Robio!
I don't know if I would go so far as to say if you didn't build it you don't have the right to show it... but I definantly think there is a difference!

Those old water pumpers in the video really look classic. They show what a bit of inginuity can do! Just look at those tires!

I really liked the part where the one Jeep owner helped out the other jeep owner so that they could have a competitive race. That is how I think of duning.

Let's hear it for homebuilt. This isn't my rail (it won't count as homebuilt until I finish redoing the motor...then it will be almost all my handiwork) but it was done in my garage:

That was what made this one so rewarding:

Sorry for the big images. If anyone wants to see more of project "Joint Effort" or my rail they're at http://hitesman.com/jason/sanddunes/fullsize Most of them are of mine but we've got images of the yellow beast from the day the frame came into the garage up till that last one, still have to upload most of them though.

That thing throws a mean roost. Hope ya didnt bury that closure marker. Looks like it turned out nice......

Yep Matt's rail is a roost throwing beast. Right now we're trying like heck to get the driveline and rear axle attached again before the weekend! They fell of at Comp on Easter.

The photo was taken in Patton valley (I had to drive my truck out to bring the cameras and Patton was the easiest place with some good sand for the photo) around the beginning of March. The closure marker did survive, although I've also got a few photos of somone in a Pilot who pulled up next to the marker, read it, and then took off right past it into the closed area. I'm not about to send the photo in to the BLM or anything, but it did **** me off to see someone putting our entire sport at risk for their own personal pleasure.

Oh, and that roost is with his 33" mud tires, I can't wait until he gets a set of paddles that will hold air on that rail! He was eyeing my 13+'s yesterday and talking about drilling new mounting holes in my rims to fit his axle...I had to go hide my tires after that user posted image
