Full Version: Sweet Maries Gone, but will be back
A friend just Got back from G and said that Sweet Maries was Gone. He heard that Doug had passed away. Does anyone have any details. I hope Doug is still with us.

Doug is fine and they will be back, probably right around this time next week. I spoke briefly to Marie yesterday and we'll be talking again this morning.
There have been some vendor issues that almost drove them away entirely, which would have been a very sad thing indeed.
But rest assured, they will be back at least for a little while this season; no word yet on next season.

Was listed for sale with an agent, too. I talked to Marie over T-day about it briefly, she says she hasn't found someone to take over yet...
Quite right. They are still looking to sell.
I don't think anyone quite understands just what it takes to run something like this... makes my job look like a walk in the park.

I've already tried getting a job in a sport I love once...no fun. You get to be around the action all the time, but it just grinds on you because you're too busy working to participate.
