[If you get to Olds at noon there will still be trash for you to pick up]

Show up for 10 minutes or stay the whole three hours.

Trash Bags provided [pick one up from me at my rail]

Trash haul out provided [drop off trash bag near my rail when done, and we'll some how get it to the dumpster]

Bring your hate for trash and a pair of gloves. We can make a difference.

Meet at Olds Bottom North End near Sand Highway entrance to Old's Pit
Near where the Quads race... I'll be parked up on a burm so you wont miss me.
Look for my rail with a trash bag tied to the antenna.

TIP - A while back - we did a surprise clean up there. Took the truck there with a box of the smaller trash bags.
Walked up to every group of people and handed them a trash bag. Said "5 min clean up - Just toss the bag out in the isle - we'll be by to pick them up".
Had every person in every row picking up trash and they all set the bags out. We just drove the truck up the isles and collected the bags. Had the place pretty clean in less then an hour.

Just a tip from some experience. I know OBSESSED cant take advice - but take it for whats its worth.

It's amazing that most people won't make the effort to go out and help, but if you drive up and put them on the spot, to avoid confrontation and the possibility of being called out, most people will do as they're told. Just driving up and handing bags out like Chummin said would probably give the best results and might actually reach out to those who would not normally do anything or don't read this board (or even be the cause of trashing the place). Maybe some sort of sign or banner showing support for the different organizations with numbers and web addresses could help increase membership and support to. The use of advertising an issue or two revolving around the greens trying to take our dunes away would definitely raise awareness. Just a thought.

Great Idea! THat is a perfect day and you know plenty of people will be there... and if they are... the least they can do is pitch in and keep it clean!

I just hope the rain stays away for you all, I will be down south then, but it is a great idea.

Thanks to those who stopped by and helped. We picked up atleast 65 bags of trash and several large/bulky items. A very good mini clean-up indeed. One person found $23 bucks. Who says picking up trash doesn't pay! Hope to see everyone at the next one.

The hill was looking a lot better than I've seen it in recent weeks. Still pretty ugly in spots, though...I found a champagne bottle busted up around a campfire where some schmucks left everything they brought with them. I didn't meet any of you, but I was the guy who filled up my cooler with broken glass and dumped it in one of the already-filled trashbags...

I burnt my effen fingers picking up some glass that was near one of those fires. when will some of these people learn. Sorry I didn't get to meet you. What was sad was that we rode through Olds valley around 4 that same day and more peeps had already left their trash. It is a never ending battle.

Jason, It was cool meeting you at China Wall on Saturday, and thanks for the trash cleanup, wish I would have rememberd it, I never made it to Olds during the New Years trip

I liked the free ts they were cool!!! i had a great time and picked up lots of trash cant wait till next years clean up!!!!
