VoR's last post the Tips and Tricks reminded me of something.

Everyone in my group finds goodies out there all the time! We have a stack of coolers at one persons house that were all found, and my business partner has about 15 whips in his shed that have been found in the past year. They've found camp stoves, first aid kits, googles, and all sorts of other great stuff. Mainly thanks to one guy in our group who must have dousing rods in his brain or something.

One of our group left a pair of gloves in the bottom of a bowl while getting a truck unstuck onetime. Three months later our douserbrain friend went back to the area and returned to camp with the gloves!

Last year my roommate left the stand to his CR at Gordon's well. Two months later we were camping in the same area and we went off to water some of the plants. When he came back he was carring his stand!

The only thing I've ever found was a hatchet with a rusted head and rotted handle that I found digging in the sand under my rail looking for a nut I dropped. Glad I didn't find it with my tire.

At the last big cleanup I heard about one guy who found a brand new full unopened case of Bud Light - no one said if it was still cold or not though

So what odd or unusual goodies has everyone else found. Or am I just lucky to camp with douserhead and a bunch of eagle eyes?

I find stuff out there all the time. It's just a matter of keeping your eyes open.
I've found countless coolers and inside of the coolers I've found...
Beer
Tools
A hairbrush
Hats
Sponge
Spark Plugs

We've also found a very cool 3-D cell Mag light.
I've found 12 packs of beer.
Trailer balls (broken and unbroken)
whips so numerous I only pick them up now if I have some need for a spare.
Tire tools
Tents
Orange cones

Basicly, you name it and i've found it!

Full cooler of mgd with ice. No tracks at all around. I expected the camera crew to pop up any minute.
I find a lot of high caliber shells around in the dunes.
Any body remember the old abandoned jeep in the dunes........ or was it an old tractor???

I have never found anything exciting in the dunes but a friend found a small peice of fiberglass from robbie gordon's trophy truck. I did find one of those chain tightening things out at ocotillo once, I use it every once in a while.

Im waiting to see Esco post on here that he found some girlfriends out there.....LOL

At one of the cleanups last year I found a crack pipe, resin and all. A ranger was standing right next to me when I found it so I gave it to him. He laughed and said that they have a collection of them in the ranger station that they have found out there.

Hey Jason I lost my goggles at Olds they where nice....about half way up....

King did the ranger skrape it?

i have run across a couple coolers, lots of tie-downs, brand new fan belts, a 3x3 trailing arm(guess they didn't need it anymore), a big a$$ berm that broke my back, and a rental for one night.

I love the smell of race gas in the morning

I've found Gas cans, chairs, whips, motocross shirts, goggles, gloves....

After riding hard all day and into the buring evening sun I came across this bush that was talking. It was frozen and snowing all around it. From each branch hung a cluster of cold ones. "Take one my brother, in a Glorified Booming Voice," the bush said. "I know the sorrow of my people, wandering in the sun of Pharaoh, remove your shoes and partake a beer with me. He said something about I am the all consuming one and I said me to." give me a beer. We had a few and then he wrote a note in the sand. 10 things he wanted.

1 I am the one, who has taken you out of the city, from the house of slavery you owe me a beer.
2 there is no other but me and my beer
3 Never cast your beer in vain
4 You shall remeber and keep the weekend sabbath for duning and beer
5 Honor you mother and father with a beer
6 Thou shall not kill, but a little ass kicking wouldnt hurt after a beer
7 Watch how much beer you drink or you might commit adultery
8 thou shalt not steal anothers beer
9 Dont make false statements against another in the dunes while drinking too much beer.
10 Dont covet thy neighbors beer.

We had a few more, I climbed the sand dune with these sand stone tablets, put them in the buggy and then rode back to camp. after all the bumping and jaring the tablets turned to sand again. What a mess in my front seats. tried to find the bush again but only found beer cans. What a weird day.

SandShark, that must have been some STRONG beer you were drinking.

So far I have found 4 key rings with atleast 5-10 keys on each ring. I hope no one was locked out of their motorhome. We have also found and illegal alien (mexican) walking next to the railroad tracks at about # 25 or so. And no he wasn't related to us!! I think his name was Taco??!!

I found a torched Toyota Tacoma (around a '00) this past Monday between Osborne and the Ranger station.

my dad found a brand new full sleeping bag. it was pretty nice one too, has the thing too pull over your head if its really cold. took it home, washed it, got a new sleeping bag!

I HAVE A QUESTION HERE.
If you do run across lets say a trashed truck, rail, or quad. Do you get to take it?
I understand there may be some cases someone might have no choice but to leave it there for awhile till they can come recover it. But I am sure there are cases where people leave there wrecks with no intentions on picking it up. Has anyone ever found anything big? Please no wife/mother-in-law

I found a hat once burning on my exhaust at olds. I guess it flew off of someone in a buggy in front of me and when I stopped my rail after a couple more runs that little "dune treasure" was sitting there cooking. My exhaust still has the battle scar.
