Anyone know how to succesfully remove a siezed cylinder dowell out my 250R bottom end unit. Middle of my installing a ESR 310, found out my 250R top end is all original, amazing for a 17 yr old machine, in which I became the owner of in 2003. I have one dowell left that I can't get out, any ideas or would it be bad to just continue to use that 17 yr old dowell?

Thanks!

If you are using a ESR 310, most likely you will use a spacer plate between the bottom end and the cylinder.

If this is the case, the stock dowells won't work. You need to get longer dowells.

Apply heat to the dowell, use 2 nuts on the dowell and apply the force to the inner nut only. If you apply enough heat, this method should work.

Good luck.
