I haven't been there since I was a kid. I'm going next weekend. How's the terrain. Do I need paddles or just stick with the nobbs?

Thanks
SHOCKER
Stick with the nobbies, i did do paddles oncem but there is to much hard packed surfaces out ther, so last time i did nobbies again, i dont want to mess up my paddles, just air them down, im not sure where im going after christmas, ill have to figure it out icon_smile.gif superstition or buttercup
SANDFANATIC
Stick with your nobbies unless you have an old set of paddles you don't care about. I don't think they will ride very nicely on the hard pack though.
Yamiboy
yeah it depends on what your plan it to ride... you can get away wioth paddles but you better stay only in the sand. if you want to play in the hard pack then go with knobbies.

when you going? its a fun place to ride.
yfzeric
well since i live 10 min from there i will tell you the sand has got some rocks sticking up in it now from all the rain and its just real hard to stay on just sand go with knobbies you can explore more area when are you going maybe i will drop buy for a couple of hours all the farm land right by superstition belongs to my pops

I'll be a Superstition from the 30th until the 2nd. Nobbies like everyone else has been saying. On top of some of the dunes are dirt trails, very cool place to ride. Your pops owns the farm land around it....nice. It's BFE but still cool that he owns it.
NASCAR
I will be at Superstition from 12-28 to 1-2,If you see me come on by...

I'm only going for the day. I work in retail and haven't riden all month due to the Christmas season. I'm leaving the 30th and coming back the 31st. I just need to feed my urge. I'll be there with my girl. I have a white YFZ450 and my girl has a yellow 250ex. Hope to see you guys out there?

Hey thanks for the clarification headbang.gif ...I meant the old run down shacks that no one lives in, broken down trucks, buses, boats with no trailers and hey a State Pen. just down the street.
HA2
super always has rocks you have to dodge. i only run paddles because my bike sucks in the hardpack.

if you have some older MOLDED paddles, go for it. ive seen a pair of haulers get ruined on a single weekend out there because of the rocks.
SHOCKER
Yeah definently dodge the rocks out there,i have proof that the stock swingarm on my Z isnt very durable, last time out there i ripped it right off, well it ripped the front bolts and tore hte holes on the back ones, it sucked, so now i cnat go there unless i get askid, witch im not going to because i dont like going there anyways, and im gonna try to stick to dunes andthe track, and i dont need a swingarm skid for that icon_smile.gif

The last time I was there I had Nobs on the back and did my sand tires in the front worked great , no problems in hard pack or in the sand.
